The Grow a Garden 2 Bargaining mechanic is a new addition, as it wasn’t a feature in the original game. It’s a game of chance, so it’s not always a recommended option for Grow a Garden 2 players, especially if you’re low on Sheckles.

With more Sheckles, you can purchase rare seeds and Sprinklers to help them grow. When you harvest larger crops, it contributes massively to the weekly guild competitions in Grow a Garden 2.

Grow a Garden 2 Bargain Guide

To bargain, you need to speak with the NPC, Steven, and the usual stall you visit when selling stuff. Choose ‘Bargain!’ to start, then you have to select either ‘Bargain This’ or ‘Bargain Inventory’.

Should You Bargain in Grow a Garden 2?

If you’ve got the spare Sheckles to spend, then sure. It’s not something I recommend for new players, though. It all comes down to chance, and you could end up spending more Sheckles than you want to.

It’s not really worth it if you don’t have many Sheckles or if the crop already has a high selling value. It’s essentially bartering, and while there’s a chance you could sell a crop or your inventory for much more Sheckles, there’s also the fact that you could lose a bunch of Sheckles because of it.

The cost to bargain increases depending on the offer, and if the offer is already decently high, then the amount of Sheckles you need to spend increases. RNG isn’t always on your side.

Luckily, you can stop the bargaining process at any point if you’re not happy with the offer. You do have to spend the first amount of Sheckles to find out what the offer is, though.

How Bargains Work

If you choose ‘Bargain This’, you’re trying to sell a specific crop for a higher price, but make sure you’re holding the crop when speaking to Steven. The only difference between this and the ‘Bargain Inventory’ option is that the latter means you’re hoping to sell your entire inventory for more Sheckles.

Whether you opt to bargain a single crop or your entire inventory, the bargain cost changes depending on the original selling price. For a single crop, the bargain cost is 55% of the current offer, and for your inventory, the cost is 55% of the current value of your inventory.

There are three outcomes when spending the Sheckles to bargain:

  • Steven increases his offer
  • Steven refuses to change the value
  • Steven increases the selling value exponentially.

The last outcome is the rarest, as you’d expect. When given an offer, you can select between:

  • ‘Deal’
    • This sells the crop or your inventory for the determined price
  • ‘Ask for more’
    • Costing Sheckles to reroll your chances, you have to wait for the 30-second cooldown timer to end
      • You can skip the cooldown with 3 Robux, but I don’t recommend it; 30 seconds isn’t long
  • ‘Daily Deal’
    • Offers a price equal to 5x of the base value of the crop/your inventory
      • The Daily Deal can be used once every 12 hours
  • ‘Nevermind’
    • Scraps the bargain
