You want to get the most out of the gates, so shoot at the one that’s already displaying the highest number and aim to pass through that one. The more shots that hit it, the more you’ll get when you traverse the gate.
You’ll sometimes be asked to watch videos to unlock new weapons. There’s no point doing this, though. The weapons will pop up in the next level you play even if you don’t watch the video.
