Complete Sakura Stand Curses Guide

In this guide we’ll cover what Curses are, and why you should take them on when you see them.

What Are Curses?

Curses are enemies that can spawn periodically at different areas on the world map. A few good locations to check for them are outside the Cafe, on the Battleground, and next to the Altar. They have a base chance of 4% to spawn every 5 minutes, though this chance increases based on the number of times you’ve died in the game.

Curses come in many forms, which vary in terms of power level. Here’s a full list of the Curses you may encounter.

  • Paper Curse – Grade 1
  • Contorted Curse – Grade 2
  • Spider Curse – Grade 2
  • Glutton Curse – Grade 3
  • Mosquito Curse – Grade 4
  • Space Curse – Grade 5

The Space Curse works differently to the other Curses. It’s a powerful Boss that has a 1% chance to spawn, increasing by 1% for each Curse that spawns in. If you hang around long enough, and keep fighting Curses, you’ll inevitably face the Space Curse.

Why Should You Fight Curses?

There are a couple of reasons you should consider taking on the Curses that you come across. Firstly, they drop 5 Tokens each, an ever-useful currency. Secondly, because you need to in order to complete Suguro Geto‘s quest line. This requires you to defeat 15 Curses, and the Space Curse.
