Have a read of our Reverse 1999 Wilderness guide to find out what this mysterious game feature is! It can be a little overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it, it’s a fantastic way to obtain special resources even when you’re not actively playing.

Reverse 1999 is a turn-based gacha game that features RPG elements and tactical combat. Embark on a brand-new adventure as you reside in a world where arcanists and humans live together. You play as the “Timekeeper”, a being who can travel back in time. You’ve been tasked to destroy Manus Vindictae’s plot and to discover the trust of 1999.

So, what exactly is the Wilderness?

How to Use the Reverse 1999 Wilderness Feature

Place Characters on Your Island!

If there are specific characters that you wish to improve your bond with, you can place them on the Wilderness island! Just leaving them there will work, and is another great way to earn passive bond points.

Buildings

Certain buildings can cook up a variety of important resources such as Sharpodonty and Dust. Make sure to regularly check back throughout the day, or at least once a day, to maximise the number of free resources that you can collect. Plus, you can level up the Paleohall to expand the maximum capacity of collected resources when you’re away from the game.

This is where your Vigor comes in! This resource is needed to sustain the total amount of Sharpodonty and Dust, especially when ensuring that you can earn a sufficient amount in efficient time. I recommend keeping your Wilderness updated when you’ve got some spare time, as this neat little feature provides you with important materials that are earned passively even when AFK.

While you’re earning resources to help with character progression, you’ll also need to upgrade the buildings on your Wilderness island. Each building requires an array of materials, so it’s time to get farming!

Vigor

Adding new buildings to the Wilderness island (and new island areas!) will give your Vigor a huge boost.
