Reverse 1999 Fish and Chips Riddle

This riddle can be found after completing Chapter 3 Stage 7 of the main storyline – named ‘Scottish’. The Trail is a glowing question mark and will pop up behind a wall. When clicking on the Trail, a box will appear with the riddle.

  • Fish and Chips in the Kitchen
    • ‘The staff canteen is the best choice for filling the belly. Now you only need a bit more information to reach the fish and chips.’

Click the “Collect Info” button to open up some notes regarding the riddle. The notes seem to cover information for Monday, but the notes for Tuesday and Wednesday are smudged, and Thursday is completely missing. You need to work out where the fish and chips are on Thursday, and where the peas puree is.

Monday

  • ‘Fish and chips in the closet. Bread in the cabinet. Peas puree on the shelf. Vegetables in the basket.’

Tuesday

While the notes for Tuesday are smudged, you can work out the missing words by referring to Monday’s notes. I’ll pop the correct notes for Tuesday down below!

  • ‘Bread on the shelf. Vegetables in the closet. Peas puree in the basket. Fish and Chips in the cabinet.’

Wednesday

The same goes for Wednesday’s notes! While the cursive writing sort of gives it away, it can be a little difficult to read.

  • ‘Fish and chips on the shelf. Peas puree in the closet. Vegetables in the cabinet.’

The Answer for Thursday

The riddle seems pretty convoluted at first, but once you’ve taken note of where each food item has already been in the previous notes, you can work out the locations! So, where have the fish and chips and the peas puree not been placed yet?

Where are the fish and chips?

  • Basket

Where is the peas puree?

  • Cabinet
