Rage Road is a game about killing everything that moves. You’re in the back of a pick-up trick, and need to take out all the enemies that pop up on the road behind you. Essentially it’s a hypercasual shooting gallery.

While the controls might be simple, there’s a lot more to the game than just blasting. You need to learn a few tricks if you want to be sure you’re the last car driving at the end of a level. And that’s where this guide comes in.

We’ve been playing the game for a while and have found out what you need to know to be the best. If you’ve got your own hints and tips, do let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Before that though, here are the best Rage Road hints, tips and tricks that we’ve found.

Take Cover

If you’re holding down your finger to fire all the time, then you’re going to get shot. Bullets move pretty slowly though, so releasing your finger and ducking down is a great way to avoid getting shot.

You’ll also duck down when it’s time to reload. You can see how many bullets are left in your gun on the left of the screen, so keep an eye out.

Headshot, Headshot, Headshot

Headshots are the most powerful attacks in the game, so try and aim for your enemy’s head whenever you can. Some enemies wear protection, and you’ll need to shoot that off before you can kill them.

You can also shoot out tyres if there are too many enemies to take down quickly. When vehicles spin out they can take others out with them, so creating some chaos is always helpful.

Use the Scenery

As you’re driving along you’ll see buildings and vehicles on either side of the road. You can shoot these if you’re quick enough. Some will explode, others will collapse and send debris scattering over the road.

Experiment with what you can and can’t destroy. Sometimes you’ll spot a building or vehicle too late though – if the enemies are past it, then shooting it is just a waste of time and ammo.

Save Your Cash

It’s tempting to spend your money on new guns whenever you get the chance, but you shouldn’t. Instead save up and buy the best weapons when they become available. The clothing you can buy is cosmetic, so it’s best not wasting any cash there.

A lot of weapons are actually just re-skinned versions of the same basic gun. If they look similar in shape, there’s a good chance they’re going to be similar in use too.

Finish Missions

Daily missions are a great way to earn more money. You can see them at the bottom of the screen on the homescreen of the game. Check what they’re asking you to do, then do your best to get it done.

You only get three missions a day, and none of them will take particularly long to complete. Pop in daily, do the missions and you’ll end up with some awesome new weapons pretty quickly.
