The latest PUBG Mobile update has arrived, and it’s brought with it an absolute ton of content. So much so, that we thought we’d put together this little guide to round everything up. It includes patch notes, new event details, changes to maps, the new Royale Pass, and more. We’ll keep it updated each time there’s a new update too, so we recommend bookmarking this page and checking back.

PUBG Mobile is the small screen version of the battle royale shooter that started it all. It looks and plays largely similar to the original, but with touchscreen controls. All of your favourite maps, vehicles, weapons, upgrades, and more return. First person, third person, infinite cosmetic collectables – it’s got everything.

Fan of mobile shooters? Well, make sure to check out our T3 Arena tier list. That’s, effectively, Overwatch on mobile, with a bunch of characters to unlock, modes to compete in, and some absolutely mind-blowing visuals.

PUBG Mobile Update – 2.3 Patch Notes

The latest update for PUBG Mobile, version 2.3, released a few weeks ago. The new update introduces the new Football Mania theme in collaboration with Lionel Messi and the Unite for One Goal events.

New to the game but lying outside of the new football theme is the release of the official Aftermath mode and Firearm tweaks – keep reading for a more in-depth look at each of these topics!

Aftermath Revised

After much revision, the developers have brought back the fan favourited, but previously flawed Aftermath mode. The game mode is basically the normal version of PUBG but on steroids; you can upgrade armour, health regenerates on it’s own over time, and there’s an increased amount of loot spread across Livik.

It seems that the developers took what made the original rules for PUBG so great and dialed them up to 110, making the game more chaotic and fast paced than usual! It will be great practice for PVP action, so give it a try.

Football Mania

We’re all aware of the new Football theme, but what actually is it?

The theme replaces the mine pit area with the Grand Football Carnival and adds new Middle Eastern architecture to the game. If you’re eliminated in the Grand Football Carnival and were carrying a new Respawn Card, then you will – you guessed it – respawn later in the game.

A bunch of items, such as Messi’s golden shoes, a Wonder Football, and a Zorb Football Vehicle have also been added to the game.

It should be noted that these themes are only available in the Erangel, Livik, and Nusa maps.

Firearms Improvement

The use of several guns have been improved upon by the developers this update, some of them including the bolt-action sniper rifles like the Kar98K and the M24, and the NS2000 shotgun.

Along with the snipers being overhauled, the attatchments for these guns have been given the same treatment; cheekpads, compensators, and flash hiders have all had their stats boosted and tweaked in one way or another. It’s all very complicated stuff! But if you want the full details, then check out the last paragraph for a link to the game’s official patch notes.

Everything Else

This update, like every update, braught a lot of little stat tweaks here and there that are easy to miss. If you’d like to learn about the more minute details, check out the patch notes on the official site.
