Happy Valentine’s Day… er, Week. Pokémon GO’s newest event is a week-long celebration of this special day, and has a host of activities to sink your teeth into, covered in this guide. So relax with your signifigant other, or just some friends! You have more than enough time to make the most of this event.
The event is already active, and will run until the 21st of Febuary, at
1:00 p.m. PST. You can earn x2 Candy for catching wild pokémon for the duration, so use your Pinap Berries for maximum effect. In addition, Lures placed on PokéStops will last for a full 6 hours, making it even easier to find those rarer pokémon.
The theme of the holiday is love, so pokémon with the colour of love will appear more often in the wild:
Chancey and Porygon will appear in more raid battles for this event as well, both at a Tier 3 level. In addition, these cuties will be hatch more often from 7km eggs:
Hidden among the hoard of pink pokemon are some shinies for you to find. the golden shiny Luvdisc can be found in the wild, so take advantage of Lures for your best shot at finding one of these. Shiny Smoochum and Cleffa will need to be hatched from 7km eggs. Better stock up on some incubators!
