PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist is a platforming game from Outerminds. In this game, you take on the role of YouTube start PewDiePie as he leaps and runs through a collection of levels in a quest to save his kidnapped fans from some murderous barrels. Gamezebo’s PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist Tips, Cheats and Strategies will help keep you from being bent over a barrel yourself.

Play on harder difficulties to get more coins

In PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist, coins are your lifeline. You need them to buy power-ups, health upgrades, and unlock new characters.

However, there are no in-app purchases in Legend of the Brofist. If you want coins, you’re going to have to do some good old-fashioned farming.

There are coins strewn everywhere in the game’s levels, plus you earn them after slaying enemies. You’re also granted a coin bonus when you finish a level, and finishing a level gives you more of a payout. If you finish a game on Hard difficulty, you get a double bonus. Finish it on Bro difficulty, and you earn a triple bonus. Beware, though: Enemies hit much harder and appear far more frequently when you play on Hard or Bro settings.

If you quit a level, you keep all the coins you’ve found up until that point. Don’t feel bad about bailing out if things get too sticky.

The characters trailing you can shield you from death

Your energy meter (hearts) shield you from most enemy attacks, but pits, spikes, and powerful attacks (from, say, a tyrannosaurus) will end you instantly.

But you can ward off instant death using the characters that trail you. PewDiePie has his pugs, and if you misstep, one of them will die in PewDie’s place (you monster). Then you can carry on playing.

Note that some characters have a sub-character who can take two hits. Markiplier’s counterfeit Brave Little Toaster will absorb two hits before he dies.

Dig through piles of stuff for power-ups

Every level has piles of junk that contain valuable power-ups. They differ from level to level, however, so be on the lookout. Piles of leaves, dirt, clothes, snow, and garbage all have hearts and coins hidden in them.

Your health is also fully restored when you hit the blue flag that marks a mid-level checkpoint.

Level up your YouTubers

Every time you rescue another YouTube personality, you have the option of buying them in the store. However, they join you with minimum health, and need some beefing-up. Since new characters and permanent heart upgrades are expensive — and you also need coins to buy special attacks — you may want to consider limiting your celebrity purchases. Otherwise, you’ll be stuck with a passel of low-level dudes and ladies, and no money to upgrade them.

Some enemies can only be killed with special attacks

Some large enemies, like the aforementioned T-Rex in the subway level, can be defeated with a special move, like the pug fart. If you’re lacking that kind of firepower however, you can always just run between the T-Rex’s legs and go on your way.
