Peggle Blast Tips, Cheats, and Strategies

Peggle Blast is a Pachinko puzzle game from EA and PopCap Games. In this game, you fire silver balls through fields of pegs to clear them away and meet certain goals. Gamezebo’s Peggle Blast tips, cheats and strategies will help you go plink-plink and ding-ding.

• Hold down a shot to magnify it – When you hold down a shot, a magnifying glass appears. This lets you make very precise shots, a handy trick on very crowded boards.
• To perform a slide, position the ball inside the first block of a loop – Flat pegs that form a half-circle can be cleared with a single ball if you know what to do. Aim the ball for the first brick on the inside of the loop. If you position your shot correctly, it should slide instead of bounce. You’ll also receive a point bonus!
• Purple pegs shuffle with every turn – Purple pegs are point boosters, but they disappear after each turn. If one is within easy reach, it’s not a bad idea to target it since many stages require you to score a minimum amount of points before you’re allowed to move on.
• Phoenix eggs caught by the bucket hatch instantly – Phoenix eggs hatch after they’re hit with a ball three times, but they’ll also hatch instantly if they land in the Free Ball bucket.

• Gold buttons clear obstacles – but also bring them back – Be careful around gold buttons. One hit clears away specific obstacles, but another hit brings those obstacles back.
• Phoenix egg suspended by pegs? Try banking your shot off the wall – It can be very difficult to hatch phoenix eggs if said eggs are suspended by a couple of pegs. If a peg is hit, it disappears and spills your egg, which is an instant loss. Try banking shots off the wall to keep the balls as high as possible. The safety of your pegs is not guaranteed, but it helps.
• Pearl can catch shots – Pearl the octopus’s special power makes it possible for her to catch shots with her tentacles. Caught shots don’t count as a lost ball, so use the power strategically by having her catch and re-shoot from the side to access difficult pegs.
• Even if you clear a level, you can still fail – Levels often have multiple goals. Even if you grab all the orange pegs in a level, you can still fail if your score isn’t high enough.

• Don’t worry about your ball count in duels against Fnord; it’s all about score – You’re allotted a certain number of balls in your duels with Fnord, but don’t worry too much about the countdown. Instead, focus on scoring as many points as possible with each turn. Also, don’t forget to hit at least one orange peg in each turn. You’ll lose a percentage of your points if you don’t.
• Level icons on the map screen preview the type of level within – Level icons give clues about what lays within. Orange levels revolve around hitting orange pegs. Spotted levels are about hatching phoenix eggs. Multicolored levels require you to drop gems to the bottom of the screen.
