Struggling to beat the more challenging battles? Want to know what the One Piece Odyssey level cap is so you can grind your way to it and make the rest of the game a breeze? This guide is everything you need. Not only do we answer what the level cap is, we also help provide tips on how to level up quickly, allowing you to hit it much faster.

One Piece Odyssey is an open world RPG that commemorates the 25th anniversary of the long-running anime series. You play as Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, who get stranded on a deserted island and have to find a way to escape. You’ll explore the island, battle enemies turn-based style, and meet your favourite characters from the series.

You can learn more about it on the official site. If you’re just getting started, check out our One Piece Odyssey Yaya Cubes, One Piece Odyssey controller fix, One Piece Odyssey stats, One Piece Odyssey fast travel, and One Piece Odyssey outfits guides.

What’s The One Piece Odyssey Level Cap?

One Piece Odyssey has only been out for a short frame of time. So, it’s difficult to say for sure what the level cap is a this time. However, we do have some clues:

  • There are achievements for getting all characters to level 70
  • YouTubers have posted builds of level 99 characters

So we would guess that, at this point, 70 is the level you can comfortably achieve by playing the game normally and beating all content. Level 99, on the other hand, seems to be the level cap.

We will, of course, keep an eye out for endgame players who surpass this level, to see if it’s possible. We’ll also keep playing for ourselves, grinding away to hit that elusive max level. Speaking of which…

One Piece Odyssey Levelling Guide

So, you want some tips on how to level up fast in One Piece Odyssey? Well, we’ve put together a bunch below to help you grind quickly.

Maintain Camp Bonuses

The first rule of One Piece Odyssey XP grinding is to maintain camp bonuses absolutely 100% of the time. When you rest, you gain a boost that provides you with bonus XP for the next ten battles.

You know what we’re going to suggest here? That’s right – rest between every ten battles when grinding to ensure that boost remains active constantly.

Grind Enemies Around Your Level

Much like in any classic turn-based RPG, you’re going to want to grind in One Piece Odyssey to ensure that you can beat any content the game throws at you. However, the golden rules apply here: don’t grind low level enemies, as you won’t earn much XP.

Instead, grind in each new area you encounter for a bit – especially against enemies that are around the same level as you, or higher. This is the optimal method of levelling fast, and earning decent XP to keep you powering through the game.

If you find yourself a higher level than most of the enemies, that’s a sign to move onto a new area.

Pick Your Grinding Area Wisely

The last thing you want when grinding enemies is having to spend a ton of time finding them in the first place. You want to battle, win, then, effectively, get straight into another. That way, the XP will continuously flow.

So seek out areas that are dense in enemy populations and farm there.

Luffy’s Obseration Haki

When you unlock Luffy’s Observation Haki, a skill that allows you to scan nearby enemies, make sure you do so every time. Doing so can help you locate special enemies that will reward you with bonus XP for beating them.

So, a good rule of thumb is to scan all enemies that you encounter – even if they’re a lower level. If they’re special, and provide bonus XP, don’t hesitate to beat them up.

Beat Bonus Tasks

When participating in battles, it’s worth paying close attention to challenges that occasionally pop up. If you see these, aim to beat them every single time as you’ll progress so much faster versus ignoring them. Why? Because they earn you bonus XP!

It’s worth remaining vigilant for these, as they can pop up at any moment during a battle – not necessarily right at the beginning. But they’re incredibly rewarding, so even if it’s a minor pain, don’t ignore them.

Complete Quests

Ah, the classic XP boost method. There’s simply no better way to earn XP fast than to complete quest content in most RPGs. That relates to either the main quest (typically the best source!) or secondary quests.

And, fortunately, One Piece Odyssey is full of both of them. A good method of remaining at a decent level to beat all content is to follow the main story, and complete all side quests that you encounter along the way before moving on.

You should also fully explore all areas that you encounter, fighting all enemies that you come across. The only time you should break this rule is if the enemies are under-levelled compared to your party. You can safely ignore them at this point.
