The Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent release date is very soon. So soon, in fact, that we thought we’d put together an article that outlines everything there is to know about one of mobile’s biggest global releases of the year. We’ll cover when you can play, where you can play, and link you up to the biggest communities. We’ll also round up the content we’ve prepared in advance just for you.

Not sure what Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is? Well, it’s essentially a sequel to the HD-2D original that sees you reunite with your favourite characters. This time around though, there are 64 heroes to collect at launch, and you can build a party of eight out of them. Check out our Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent tier list for a complete list. After that, it’s the usual JRPG fare: explore the world, battle monsters, level up your characters, and enjoy a lengthy story.

If you’re looking for something to play in the meantime, we recommend Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds. It’s not quite the turn-based single player JRPG that Octopath Traveler is, but it’s got a massive open world to explore, a ton of monsters to unlock and add to your party, and other JRPG shenanigans. Check out how to play Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC, and grab the latest Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds codes.

When is the Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Release Date?

If you’re looking forward to playing Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, you don’t have long to wait. Square Enix recently announced on the official Twitter page that it will arrive across the globe on July 27, with pre-download on July 26. That means you can play it the moment the servers go live.

You can pre-register right now on iOS and Android. The links at the top of this page can take you to the App Store and Google Play pages to help you pre-register.

When Will the Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Beta be Held?

Octopath Traveler: CoC’s beta was held back in March 2022, and there will be no further testing phases ahead of the global launch. Sadly, that means you’ll have to wait to experience it for now.

Will There Be a Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent PC Release?

Not officially, no. Square Enix has only confirmed mobile releases for Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, with no PC version in sight.

However, as is typical for mobile releases, you can expect an Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent PC version via an Android emulator like BlueStacks. We’ll update this article with links as soon as those are available.

What About An Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Switch Release?

We wouldn’t count on it. Square Enix hasn’t mentioned a launch for Switch, and it hasn’t arrived on that platform in any other territories. While mobile games do occasionally get a Switch port, it’s surprisingly rare.

How Can I Join the Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Reddit?

Actually, there isn’t an official Reddit for Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent. Instead, you can join the Octopath Traveler Reddit, which includes content regarding both the PC/console game and mobile gacha.

Of course, there’s also the Gacha Gaming Reddit, which will have a ton of content around CoC, and the JRPG Reddit, which will probably treat it disdain. That might be what you’re into though. We don’t judge.

Where Can I Get the Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent APK?

Given that the game hasn’t released yet, we wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending an APK just yet. Instead, we recommend pre-registering via Google Play. We’ve included a link at the top of this page.

Is There an Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Wiki?

You bet there is. You can check it out on Fandom.
