Nightlight is a Roblox horror game that relies on teamwork and having your wits about you! Stay out of the dark, keep your candle lit, and find notes. Downed teammates can be revived, but be careful, the monster may be lurking nearby.

While you can play Nightlight solo, some players advise having a team of 2, 3, or 4 people – it makes some parts of the game much easier. Anyway, this walkthrough will detail what you need to do to beat the horror game (whether you’re solo or not)!
The main task is to collect a total of 8 notes, each having a letter written on them. Every note is a letter from the word ‘Selfish’. Your goal is to obtain all letters to spell out the word! But first, where are you? Well, you’ve ended up in someone’s house because you’ve gotten yourself lost in the forest… at night.
The kind stranger offers a safe place to stay but explains that some of the lights in the house aren’t working at the moment – making this home feel extremely uncomfortable. They give you a candle to use as you walk around the house, but you’ll need spare matches to keep it lit. To your surprise, they then hand you a note before heading off to clean.
It reads:
From this note, we can decipher that you need to keep moving no matter what. And, you can’t let your candle blow out – good luck. Luckily, you’ll come across matches placed around the house as you venture through.
Now that you know the basics of what exactly is happening, it’s time to work on beating Nightlight. To survive, you need to run away when you hear the sound of laughter. If you hear a more ominous, loud noise, it’s time to hide.
When searching for notes, remember to move furniture when possible, as a note may be hiding behind! As the note suggests, you need to find all 8 notes (it also includes the full stop!) a total of 3 times before you can escape – and it gets more dangerous each time.
Once the 8 notes have been found 3 times, you’ll be instructed to escape out of the front door. However, you need to find the front door without bumping into the monster first.
As mentioned above, you can have a team of players to help you during the game. These teammates can be revived if they are downed by the monster, so make sure to stay vigilant and keep an eye on your fellow players! It’s up to you guys to find all of the required notes and to hide when necessary.
