Game Introduction – Night in the Opera

Welcome to the Night in the Opera walkthrough on Gamezebo. Night in the Opera is a combination Match-3 and Adventure Game created by Angler Games. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints and a strategy guide that will help you make it through your very own… Night in the Opera.

General Tips

  • Game play is linear. Advance by solving progressively difficult match-3 games, completing hidden object scenes and solving puzzles.
  • Begin play by creating a profile name.
  • Select Options to adjust the Music or Sound volume. You may also toggle the Full or Wide Screen selections.
Night In The Opera
  • Game Modes (for the match-3 games):
    • Timed – Earn additional money by completing the game board within the allotted time. The more time remaining, the more money is accumulated. A level must be replayed if time runs out before the board is cleared.
    • Relaxed – Games are not timed. No money is awarded for completing a level quickly. The advantage is having the time to set up more and/or longer combinations (combo) or driving up the score by making more matches.
    • Modes cannot be switched during game play. Change modes by returning to the Main Menu, creating a new profile and starting a new game.
Night In The Opera
  • The Hall
    • This is the main transition area between Match-3 and Adventure modes.
    • Sparkling music notes on a door (A) indicate a new room to explore.
    • Sparkles on the Play button (B) mean it is time to go to match-3 play.
    • The glowing Journal (C) shows new information has been added.
    • Click the Store button (D) to purchase available Bonuses for Match-3 play.
    • Open the Menu button (E) to change Options, view Help or return to the Main Menu.

    • A Journal is kept to record story information. A glowing journal indicates new information.
    • Hidden object scenes are indicated by floating yellow music notes. Items listed in red required an extra step to find or complete.
Night In The Opera
  • Match-3 Play – Tiles
    • Plaster – Requires one match to break it.

    • Sealing Wax – This is a blocking tile. Make four matches next to it to remove the obstruction.
  • Match-3 Play – Scoring

    • A Combo is made by swapping two tiles and creating two or more groups of at least three tiles.
    • The amount of Money awarded is dependent on the score, time remaining in timed mode and tiles and combinations made. Money is used in the store to buy bonuses for Match-3 boards.
