Want to be the greatest ruler that ever was? You’re probably going to struggle. The sad thing about having a land of humble subjects is that invariably, someone’s not going to like you. Still, that’s the premise behind My Majesty, and it’s worth giving it a shot!

Gamezebo’s My Majesty Tips, Cheats and Strategies is here to advise you on things to be aware of, in the hope that you can be a leader for long enough to make a difference.

Remember, Remember

• Balance is everything! Seriously, it’s the most important thing to remember in this game. Bar nothing. You need to keep six different factions happy – Priesthood, Nobility, Commoners, Thinkers, Outlaws, and the Army. Sometimes, you’re going to annoy them a little, but always pull it back.
• Generally, by doing something that makes the nobility happy, you’re going to annoy the commoners. It’s ok to do this sometimes, but make sure your next turn is spent cheering up the commoners.
• It’s tricky to maintain the balance but you can keep on top of it. Keep an eye on the bars. Each turn ends with a report that gives you a heads up on how everyone’s doing.

• Do everything possible to keep your factions from dropping into the red zones. That’s when things turn dangerous, as one bad decision can cause them to drop off.
• One additional bonus for keeping your factions out of the red zone is that if you do this for long enough, you gain a reputation increase for all your factions. So, it’s really worth doing.
• Raise the reputation of a faction by more than 10 crosses and you gain some extra money. Each gold cross denotes 20,000 of gold, and that adds up fast. Yet another reason why you want to keep people happy.

Plan Carefully

• Think those decisions through carefully. Some options might try to tempt you by offering you easy income, but sometimes you’re better off resisting and playing the ‘long’ game of waiting it out.
• Often, it’s obvious who you’re going to annoy. For instance, if the Priesthood wants you to send all the treasures to them rather than the Nobility, the Nobility isn’t going to be too happy. Bear this in mind. Each decision is fairly logical, but you’re going to have to be determined and risk upsetting a few people. Just for a moment though, right?
• At regular points, you’re given time-based tasks. These can be things like ‘make x number of negative decisions’. Try to work towards them. You’ll gain blue gems this way.

The Rest

• Notable people pop up the longer you play. Don’t fret too much about them, but they do provide a handy gems bonus when they show up.
• Got a lot of gems and feel like spending them? Each decision has the option of gaining wisdom from Merlin. It’ll cost you 5 gems, but you won’t have to worry about a hit on your reputation. Be cautious, but sometimes it can get you out of a jam.
• Sometimes, a green dialog box will appear under your current income. Tap it and watch the resulting video, and you gain some free money. It’s pretty useful from time to time, but don’t rely on it.
• Do, however, remember to check your treasury often so you can pick up all your gold.
