Muscle Rush is a game about muscular men rushing down paths. There are obstacles to smash, gain powders to collect and assailants to whomp as hard as you can. You control it all with a single digit and it’s pretty easy to pick up and play. But there are challenging sections you might need some help with.

Avoid unnecessary obstacles

If an obstacle isn’t covering the whole of the track, then you shouldn’t barge through it. Smashing it will cost you some of your strength, so you’re throwing gains away when you could just move instead. Just because you’re a massive mass of muscles doesn’t mean you can’t use your brain.

Upgrade when you can

When you get the chance to upgrade, you should always take it. If you’re struggling with a level, watch a video to increase your punch. Upgrade the two different stats at a similar rate and you should do just fine.

Watch out for arrows

These show you things you have to do – stepping on a jump pad or hitting a colored button to open up a door. When there’s an arrow, the game is trying to get your attention, and if you just barrel on in those situations there’s a very good chance you’re going to fail.

What are the keys for?

When you’ve collected three you can use them to unlock chests. These are the only places you can unlock some of the special hats that you can equip your bodybuilder with. They’re only cosmetic, but hats are cool so try and grab keys when you see them. The chests contain cash as well.

Use your attackers to clear a path

Try and punch your attackers into other obstacles – it’s a great way to conserve your strength. Punching them through walls or into other attackers will save you a chunk of your strength bar and put you in a better position to get the highest possible multiplier at the end of a level.
