Getting Started
? To get started and playing Monopoly Hotels, you’ll first need to download the game using the “Get It Now” button at the top of this page.
? Once the game has finished downloading, you can find it on your home screen. Tap on the icon labeled “Monopoly Hotels” to get playing right away!
? Upon your first time loading up the game, you’ll be introduced to Mr. Monopoly who is ready to show you the ropes with a bit of a tutorial before cutting you loose. Let’s go over this tutorial to make sure you understand how to play completely.
How to Play
? Upon meeting Mr. Monopoly, he will immediately ask you to cut the ribbon on your new Mediterranean hotel. Simply swipe your finger across the ribbon to open the hotel. Unfortunately, there aren’t any rooms available for guests to stay in just yet.
? Now, Mr. Monopoly will drop some money for you to grab. Tap on the money as it falls to collect it and continue. Periodically, money will fall from the screen while playing. You can tap on it then to collect it as well for a nice bonus.
? Having the introduction out of the way allows us to focus on building rooms for guests to stay in at your hotel. Tap on the hammer icon located in the bottom right corner of the screen to access the Build menu. This is the menu in which you can choose which rooms to build.
? First, let’s tap on the Guests Rooms category to start building a room for your guests to stay. At the beginning, you will only have the Horse Room available for purchase. Select to build it by tapping on it.
? After tapping on it just once, you will be taken back to your hotel into placement mode. Now, you can tap and drag on the room to place it anywhere you like in the hotel. Once you’ve decided on a good place to place it down, double tap on it.
? The room has been placed down but construction hasn’t quite started yet. To start it, tap on the room, then push the Start Building button. After that, you will need to paint the room by tapping on the room again and selecting Start Painting.
? The final step of building the room is to tap on it and select Complete Room. Once you select that, the room is ready for guests to rent.
? After a guest has finished their stay at the room, they will leave behind money for you to collect. You can collect this money by tapping on the room when it shows the money symbol (a large M with lines through it).
? Your next step in Monopoly Hotels should be to build an attraction. Attractions are businesses that operate within your hotel that give guests something to do while staying there.
? To build an attraction, enter the Build menu and select Attractions. Now you can simply place a business such as a Cupcake Shop or Bowling Alley just like you placed the guest room earlier.
? Jake the jailbird will occasionally show up at your hotel, and all he wants to do is steal from you and your guests. If you ever see him hanging out at one of your hotels, tap on him to send him away.You will receive a reward from the police upon capturing him.
Activating the Electric Company
? Every once in a while, you will need to activate the Electric Company in order to keep your hotels powered. Worry not, you will not need to pay anything. As a matter of fact, you will earn money from this.
? From your Mediterranean hotel, swipe your finger left to access the Electric Company. You will now see the Electric Company building. Tap rapidly to recharge it and earn some money by doing so.
? To keep your guests happy, you should come back to the Electric Company every once in a while to recharge it.
Adding New Hotels
? Adding new hotels is important in keeping your hotel empire healthy. After all, after you have already filled a hotel to the brim, you will need it to see the new attractions and themed rooms!
? If you keep swiping on your hotels, you will eventually run into one that you don’t own. The nice thing is, you can purchase a new hotel as long as you’ve got the cash just by tapping on it. Once you purchase it, you will likely have to wait a while for it to be ready.
? If you don’t want to wait for the new hotel to be ready, you can spend Gold to finish it immediately. Keep in mind however that Gold is earned by spending real money. Be careful when spending it. Remember, you can wait just a bit for free, but you will never earn that spent gold back.
