GENERAL TIPS

The goal for the current level is always displayed in the top right-hand corner of the screen. On a regular basis an expert goal will appear as soon as you have fulfilled the normal goal. You don’t have to reach these expert goals to proceed, however it can be advantageous to do so. In the bottom left-hand corner you can see the timer and your amount of money in the current level:

When the timer is completely red, the shop will close. You can still serve the customers already in your shop and collect their money, but no new customers will enter your shop afterwards.
Your shop will also close automatically when you have reached the expert goal. In this case you can still serve the remaining customers, too. Thus it is very helpful to collect money when you are very close to reaching the expert goal. Stop collecting money before you reach it and wait until as many customers as possible enter your shop. In this way you can earn the highest possible amount of money.
You can prepare available ingredients by clicking on the appropriate ingredient in the back of the store. You can do this at any time, no matter what Miriel is currently doing. At the beginning you can store six ingredients on the shelf near the board. You can only prepare seven ingredients at the same time:

One minor aspect of controls the game does not mention is the handling of the oven. You have to click on specific parts of the ocean to add ingredients, and to take the finished bread:

You can always throw unwanted ingredients into the trash can.
You are also able to put any ingredient Miriel currently carries back into the shelf, as long as there is free space. The same goes for products, bread can be put back onto the oven, and so on. It is even possible to put finished products such as potions or fried eggs into the shelf, but again, only if there is enough space for that.
After the third level you are able to buy upgrades, new products and machines at the traveling merchant. You are safe when you decide for those items that are recommended for purchase.
You can right-click to cancel any of Miriel’s actions.
From level ten on the thought bubbles of customers may also depict their orders as words instead of a picture. If you are unsure which item they want, hover over the thought bubble and the words will turn into pictures.
If you fail to reach a goal, you can always retry a level. However, you are not able to restart a level while playing it, and it is not possible to replay a level to reach the expert goal afterwards.
You are also able to chain some actions, namely serving customers and collecting their gold. The longer your chain is, the more gold you are going to earn.
When you notice that you are preparing the wrong ingredients, you can still click on them in the ingredients bar to stop their preparation.
You can recognize the patience of your customers by observing their thought bubbles. If a customer gets impatient, his or her thought-bubble’s edges will crumble.
From the main menu of the game you soon have access to the submenu "extras". Here you will find a button called customers. Under that topic you will find a lot of helpful stats regarding the different types of customers, namely their level of patience, and which products they prefer or dislike. This is extremely helpful to estimate what a customer is going to order and which customers you should serve first.

SPELLBOOK

As soon as the spellbook is in your possession, you can cast spells while playing. There are different spells with varying effects. To activate any spell you first have to serve four customers while they are still happy. When the spellbook is fully charged, click on it, and then choose your desired spell. The spell will be in effect immediately.
Haste: This spell boosts Miriel’s as well as the store’s speed.
Charm: This spell makes customers particularly happy.
Freeze: This spell freezes customers currently at your shop, so that you have more time to prepare their items.
Fulfill Wishes: This spell finishes every order by each customer currently in your story.
All the four spells have similar results, although the "Fulfill Wishes"-spell is apparently a bit more helpful, but only if you already have orders by three or four different customers, and even more so, if these are complicated orders.

WALKTHROUGH

This passage of the guide should serve as a kind of overview and timeline to the changes taking place during the game, and to illustrate the hidden-object scenes in the right order.

Chapter 1:

Level 1 – Goal: Serve 5 apples.
Level 2 – New feature: Oven, Goal: Serve 3 breads.
Level 3 – New feature: Miriel can now carry three items, Goal: Earn 100 gold, Expert goal: Earn 150 coins. After this level the traveling merchant will appear. Buy the medium shelf.
Level 4 – Goal: Collect six snake oils, Expert goal: Collect seven snake oils. After this level you will have to solve the first hidden object scene. The quicker you find the items, the more bonus money you will earn. Look at the screenshot for the positions of the items Zag demands:
Level 5 – Goal: Earn 200 gold, Expert goal: Earn 270 gold.
Level 6 – New feature: Empty flask, Goal: Earn 200 gold, Expert goal: Earn 280 gold.
Level 7 – New feature: Red and Green Barrels. Here you can prepare red and green potions, later on also other products. Enable Miriel to carry four items at once at the traveling merchant. Goal: Serve five red potions.
Level 8 – Goal: Earn 200 gold. Expert Goal: Earn 280 gold.
Level 9 – New feature: Cheese. Goal: Collect six eggs for Zag. Expert goal: Collect eight eggs for Zag. After this level you have to find more items for Zag – look at the screenshot for the solution:
Level 10 – Goal: Earn 250 gold. Expert Goal: Earn 330 gold.
Level 11 – Purchase candies at the traveling merchant. Goal: Collect six healing salves for Zag. Expert Goal: Collect seven healing salves for Zag. After this level you have to solve another hidden-object scene. Look at the screenshot for the solution:
Level 12 – Goal: Earn 250 gold. Expert goal: Earn 292 gold.
Level 13 – New feature: Cloth. Buy the frostberry at the traveling merchant. Goal: Collect six fishing lures for Zag. Expert goal: Collect eight fishing lures for Zag. At the end of this level you will visit another hidden-object scene. Look at the screenshot if you get stuck:
Level 14 – Goal: Earn 300 gold. Expert Goal: Earn 420 gold.

Chapter 2:

Level 15 – Goal: Collect four scarves for Riauk. Expert goal: Collect five scarves for Riauk.
Level 16 – Buy Chocolate and the Amulet of Speed at the traveling merchant. Goal: Collect six herbs for Riauk. Expert Goal: Collect seven herbs for Riauk.
Level 17 – Goal: Collect six Ice Flowers for the informant. Expert goal: Collect seven Ice Flowers for the informant. After this level you will enter another hidden-object scene – look at the screenshot for the positions of the items:
Level 18 – Goal: Collect five scarves for Riauk. Expert goal: Collect seven scarves for Riauk.
Level 19 – Buy the Production Enchantment at the traveling merchant. Goal: Earn 300 gold. Expert goal: Earn 435 gold. After this level you have to find more items for Riauk:
Level 20 – Goal: Earn 250 gold. Expert goal: Earn 350 gold.
Level 21 – Buy the Apple Jam-recipe at the traveling merchant. Goal: Collect ten fishing lures. Expert goal: Collect eleven fishing lures. After this level you will visit another hidden-object scene. Look at this screenshot for the solution: MM_10
Level 22 – Goal: Serve 8 cloths. Expert goal: Serve ten cloths. (Note: Cloths that are colored do NOT count. You have to serve colorless cloths.)
Level 23 – Goal: Collect ten harps from the bards. Expert goal: Collect eleven harps from the bards. Buy the "Fulfill Wishes"-spell at the traveling merchant. At the end of this level you will also visit another hidden-object scene:

Chapter 3:

Level 24 – Goal: Serve nine colorless cloths. Expert goal: Serve ten colorless cloths. After this level you have to solve another hidden-object scene. Look for the solution on the screenshot below:
Level 25 – Goal: Earn 300 gold. Expert Gold: Earn 420 gold.
Level 26 – Buy Cave Crystals at the traveling merchant. Goal: Collect malachite six times. Expert Goal: Collect malachite seven times.
Level 27 – Goal: Earn 350 gold. Expert goal: Earn 454 gold.
Level 28 – Goal: Collect ten medical herbs. Expert goal: Collect 13 medical herbs. New feature: Mushroom. Buy the recipe for Mushroom Soup at the traveling merchant. Search another hidden-object scene:
Level 29 – Goal: Earn 350 gold. Expert goal: Earn 454 gold.
Level 30 – Goal: Collect six necklaces. Expert goal: Collect seven necklaces.
Level 31 – Goal: Collect ten jack-in-the-boxes. Expert goal: Collect twelve jack-in-the-boxes. Buy the large shelf at the traveling merchant. Now you have to find more items in a hidden-object scene:
Level 32 – Goal: Collect eight crystalliums. Expert goal: Collect nine crystalliums.
Level 33 – Goal: Collect six ornate hairpins. Expert goal: Collect seven ornate hairpins. Now you have to discover more hidden-objects at Belowscape:
Level 34 – Goal: Earn 500 gold. Expert goal: Earn 650 gold. Buy the "Freeze"-spell and a second oven at the traveling merchant.

Chapter 4:

Level 35 – Goal: Collect ten roses. Expert goal: Collect eleven roses. After this level you have to examine a new hidden-object scene:
Level 36 – Goal: Collect 11 silver leaves. Expert goal: Collect 12 silver leaves.
Level 37 – Goal: Collect 10 tax forms. Expert goal: Collect twelve tax forms. Now you have to visit another scene to search for items:
Buy the Strawberry and the Empty Perfume Vial at the traveling merchant.
Level 38 – Goal: Earn 700 gold. Expert goal: Earn 840 gold.
Level 39 – Goal: Collect ten spare parts. Expert goal: Collect eleven spare parts. Enable Miriel to carry five items at once at the traveling merchant.
Level 40 – Goal: Collect ten jack-in-the-box toys. Expert goal: Collect twelve jack-in-the-box toys. At the end of this level you have to examine another scene:
Buy the recipe for the Frostberry Muffin at the traveling merchant.
Level 41 – Goal: Collect ten Ice Flowers. Expert goal: Collect twelve Ice Flowers. After this level you have to solve another hidden-object scene:

After this level you can either retire, or help Miriel with improving her shop. Now you can buy the remaining objects, ingredients and recipes for the different shops.

2) Crowd pleaser: For serving 500 customers.

3) I love carbs: For serving 100 loaves of bread.

4) Red like my hair: For serving 100 red potions.
