Tour Challenges 2

  • Land 3 hits with Red Shells: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a glider with the Red Shell Plus special skill to make this easier.
  • Use 15 Mushrooms: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a glider with the Mushroom Plus special skill to make this easier, along with a driver with the Mushroom Cannon special skill. These include:
    • Peach (Kimono)
    • Toad (Party Time)
    • Shy Guy (Pastry Chef)
  • Land 20 hits with Bananas: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a glider with the Banana Plus special skill and a driver with a special skill relating to bananas. These include:
    • Morton
    • Donkey Kong
    • Diddy Kong
    • Waluigi (Bus Driver)
  • Ride on air currents 5 times: You can perform this over numerous races. We recommend performing the Glider Challenge course, as it provides plenty of opportunities to ride on air currents.
  • Earn a score of 8,000 or higher using a driver with 3 hairs: Use one of the following drivers on a favoured course and aim to win to maximise your points:
    • Morton
    • Lakitu
  • Finish a race by gliding over the finish line: The easiest race to perform this on is Neo Bowser City, which includes a blue ramp right at the end.
  • Earn a total score of 25,000 or higher in the Daisy Cup: Play with a glider, kart, and driver on their favoured courses and aim to get first place on each. To beat this challenge, you need to get over 8,000 score for each of them, which will be easier on certain races than others but is doable.
  • Land 3 hits with Bob-ombs in a single race: You have to perform this challenge in a single race. Use one of the following drivers with a glider with Bob-omb Plus special skill:
    • Shy Guy
    • Roy
    • Wario
    • Waluigi
    • Black Shy Guy
    • Mario (Musician)
    • Mario (Hakama)
    • King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion)
  • Clear all of the cups in the Valentine’s Tour: Finish all races in the Valentine’s Tour to pass this challenge. You don’t have to win them all – simply reach the finish line.

Tour Challenges 1

  • Activate Frenzy mode 3 times: You can perform this over numerous races. Frenzy mode is when you get three of the same item from an item box, so you’ll need to use a racer on its favoured course.
  • Do 100 Mini-Turbo boosts: You can perform this over numerous races. To perform a Mini-Turbo boost, drift until you see blue sparks beneath your kart and then release.
  • Land 10 hits with Bob-ombs: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a driver with a Bob-omb related Special Skill and a glider with Bob-omb Plus to make it easier. We recommend the following drivers:
    • Shy Guy
    • Roy
    • Wario
    • Waluigi
    • Black Shy Guy
    • Mario (Musician)
    • Mario (Happi)
    • King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion)
  • Get 1st place in a 150cc or higher race 3 times in a row: Play in 150cc and pick a short course, like Ghost Valley or Paris Promenade 2. Repeat this course until you win three races in a row. We recommend holding onto defensive items to prevent yourself getting slowed down by other racer’s weapons.
  • Earn a score of 8,000 or higher using a baby driver: Play with a baby driver on their favoured course and aim to win. It shouldn’t be too difficult to hit 8,000 points. Baby drivers include:
    • Baby Mario
    • Baby Peach
    • Baby Daisy
    • Baby Rosalina
    • Baby Luigi
    • Baby Peach (Cherub)
  • Earn a total score of 20,000 or higher in the Luigi Cup: Play as drivers on their favoured courses and aim to win each race and you shouldn’t have difficulty hitting 20,000 points. That represents a score of around 7,000 per race.
  • Cause an opponent to crash while gliding: During courses that include a gliding segment, hold onto red shells and sit back. As soon as you’re in the air, fire red shells at your opponent until they go down.
  • Land 3 hits with Super Horns: You can perform this over numerous races. No drivers have a specific super horn special skill, but we’ve had our best luck with a driver with Lucky Seven, as that includes the super horn. Drivers with Lucky Seven include:
    • Pauline
    • Daisy (Holiday Cheer)
  • Pick up a dropped Mushroom for a burst of speed: This is an easy challenge. Simply use a driver with Mushroom Cannon to have a wide selection of mushrooms to pick up. These drivers include:
    • Peach (Kimono)
    • Toad (Party Time)
    • Shy Guy (Pastry Chef)

Gold Challenges

  • Do 10 Ultra Mini-Turbo boosts: You can perform this over numerous races. To perform an Ultra Mini-Turbo boost, drift until you see purple sparks, which appear at the third and final phase.
  • Do a total of 5 Slipstream boosts: You can perform this over numerous races. To perform a Slipstream boost, drive behind another driver until you see wind appear on either side of your kart. Keep driving until you get a turbo boost.
  • Collect a total of 200 coins in races: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a driver with Coin Box and a glider with the Coin Plus Special Skill to make this easier. Drivers with Coin Box include:
    • Mario (Hakama)
    • Peach (Vacation)
    • Pink Gold Peach
    • Pauline (Party Time)
    • Gold Koopa (Freerunning)
  • Take out 5 Piranha Plants: You can perform this over numerous races. To take out a Piranha Plant, use a projectile item against them.
  • Earn a score of 7,000 or higher on 3 T courses: This shouldn’t be overly difficult, as a T course typically has a lot of tricks to perform, which provide you with huge combos and points. Using drivers on their favoured courses and winning the races will also help.
  • Collect 200 coins using a driver wearing a crown: You can perform this over numerous races provided you’re using a driver wearing a crown. There are plenty of drivers that wear crowns, but the absolute best for this challenge is Pink Gold Peach, and that’s thanks to her Coin Box Special Skill. Drivers with crowns include:
    • Baby Peach
    • Baby Daisy
    • Baby Rosalina
    • Peach
    • Daisy
    • Rosalina
    • King Boo
    • Peachette
    • Pink Gold Peach
    • Baby Peach (Cherub)
    • King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion)
  • Get a combo count of x30 or higher: We recommend aiming to complete this challenge on a T course, as it includes lots of tricks that lead to huge combos. Use items, coins, boosts, and everything in between to keep the combo going.
  • Collect 300 coins from races in a single day: Use a driver with Coin Box and a glider with Coin Plus to make this challenge much easier. Drivers with Coin Box include:
    • Mario (Hakama)
    • Peach (Vacation)
    • Pink Gold Peach
    • Pauline (Party Time)
    • Gold Koopa (Freerunning)
  • Get 1st place in a race in Paris 10 times: Race 10 times on Paris Promenade 2 on 50cc and this challenge should be a breeze.
