Mario Kart Tour Mario Bros. Tour Challenges List: Bob-ombs, Fireballs, and Mario

Mario Kart Tour’s brand new tour, the Mario Bros. Tour, is live right now on iOS and Android, and with it comes the usual array of new drivers, karts, gliders, rewards, courses, and challenges. It’s the last one of those on the list that we’re going to focus on in this guide.

Tour Challenges 1

• Do 50 Mini-Turbo boosts: You can perform this over numerous races. To pull off a Mini-Turbo boost, tap and hold the screen to drift until you see sparks appear beneath your kart, then release.
• Land 3 hits with Red Shells: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a glider with the Red Shell Plus special skill to improve the speed at which you can complete these.
• Land 5 hits with Bob-ombs: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a glider with Bob-omb plus along with one of the following drivers to make this challenge easier:
  • Red Shy Guy
  • Roy
  • Wario
  • Waluigi
  • Black Shy Guy
  • Mario (Musician)
  • Mario (Happi)
  • King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion)
  • Wario (Hiker)
• Get 1st place in a 100cc or higher race 3 times: Play on 100cc until you’ve won three races, as this will make this challenge a heck of a lot easier.
• Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver with a hat: Play as one of the following drivers on their favoured course, along with a favoured kart and glider, and aim to win for maximum score:

  • Baby Luigi
  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Diddy Kong
  • Wario
  • Waluigi
  • Red Koopa (Freerunning)
  • Metal Mario
  • Mario (Musician)
  • Rosalina (Halloween)

• Glide a total distance of 5,000: You can perform this over numerous races. Make short work of this by playing on courses like Daisy Hills and Rock Rock Mountain, which feature lengthy gliding sections. Also, perform any gliding challenges, as these are the best.
• Land a hit with a fireball: Play as one of the following drivers until you get the fireball special skill, then hit an opposing player:
  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Red Koopa (Freerunning)
  • Metal Mario
  • Mario (Santa)
• Do 3 Slipstream boosts in a single race: Play on 50cc and repeatedly perform a Slipstream boost and drop back until the challenge is complete.
• Do 100 Jump Boosts in courses with Mario in the name. (Excludes bonus challenges.): You can perform this over numerous races. Courses with Mario in the name include:
  • Mario Circuit
  • Mario Circuit 1
  • Mario Circuit 3
  • RMX Mario Circuit 1

All R, T, and R/T courses also count.

Gold Challenges

• Do 5 Rocket Starts: You can perform this over numerous races. Press and hold your finger on the screen as soon as you see the 2 appear during the initial 3-2-1 countdown to perform a Rocket Start.
• Land 20 hits with Bananas: You can perform this over numerous races. Use one of the following drivers with a glider with the Banana Plus special skill:
  • Morton
  • Donkey Kong
  • Diddy Kong
  • Waluigi (Bus Driver)
• Do 20 Jump Boosts: You can perform this over numerous races. Play on a T course or perform the jump challenge to make this easier.
• Pick up a dropped Mushroom for a burst of speed: Use one of the following drivers and pick up one of the mushrooms that drop out of Mushroom Cannon:
  • Peachette
  • Peach (Kimono)
  • Toad (Party Time)
  • Shy Guy (Pastry Chef)
• Land 5 hits with Bob-ombs in a single race using a driver with a hat: Play as one of the following drivers with a glider that has the Bob-ombs Plus special skill to make this easier:
  • Wario
  • Waluigi
  • Mario (Musician)
  • Wario (Hiker)
• Get a combo count of x30 or higher: Play on a T course and this should be an absolute cake walk. Alternatively, play a combo challenge.
• Earn a score 7,000 or higher using a baby driver: Play as one of the baby drivers on their favoured course and aim to win.
• Take out 3 pipes: You can perform this over numerous races. The easiest way to take out a pipe is to get a Mega Mushroom and drive into it. To make this easier, use a glider with the Mega Mushroom special skill.
• Land 5 hits with fireballs: You can perform this over numerous races. Use one of the following drivers to get a fireball:
  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Red Koopa (Freerunning)
  • Metal Mario
  • Mario (Santa)
