MarbleTrax is an intriguing new racer that plays like a cross between pinball, Agar.io, and Super Mario Kart. Putting those three games together doesn’t sound quite right, does it?

You play as a marble that gets thrown into a pinball machine and you have to use your four special powers appropriately to make it through the maze and to the end before the hundred other balls.

The higher you place, the more money you’ll earn, which you can spend on upgrades to help you win future races. It’s an addictive little loop that will keep you playing well into the early hours of the morning.

There’s an absolute ton of strategy if you want to progress. Fortunately, we’ve played it a bunch to provide a bunch of tips and tricks to help you win more often than you don’t.

MarbleTrax Tips and Tricks

  • Use your powers appropriately: You have four powers you can use at any moment: a dash, slime, freeze, and fever. Don’t just hammer them as they’re useful in different circumstances.
  • Dash on straights: Dash is best used on straights, as you lose the speed bonus as soon as you hit into walls. It works when you’re falling as well – as long as you don’t hit into anything.
  • Use slime in tight corridors: Slime will slow down your opponents but only if they touch it. So use it in tight corridors to give yourself some breathing space.
  • Save freeze for the beginning of a race: Freeze is best used at the beginning of a race, when all of the marbles are in the same spot. That way you can get a massive head start over your opponents.
  • Use fever while in a crowd: Fever gives you a speed boost whenever you touch an opponent, so you’ll want to use it in a crowd. That way you’ll be able to chain speed boosts.
  • Keep your multipliers active: You can watch ads to get a 10 minute cash and multiplier boost. It’s worth keeping these up at all times as you’ll simultaneously boost your chances of winning and making money.
  • Balance your upgrades: Keep all of your skill upgrades balanced, as all of the skills are useful in their own way. You don’t want to rely on one more than the others.
  • Return often to get your earnings: Even when you’re not actively playing, your balls will still keep trying to win without you. You pretty much get cash no matter where you finish, so it’s worth checking in every few hours or so to get your money.
  • Sometimes there’s nothing you can do: Sometimes the simple fact is that there’s nothing you can do to win, so don’t despair. You might hit the wrong paddle, get stuck, or something else nasty might happen. It’s just the way it is.
  • Buy extra balls to increase your chance: You can buy extra balls to increase your chances of winning, but they’re expensive – naturally. Grab them whenever you can afford them.
