Makeup Artist: Makeup Games is a game about stretching your artistic muscles and painting some faces in weird and wonderful ways. It’s an entertaining and engaging experience, but it isn’t without its challenges.

And it’s those challenges that have pushed us to write this strategy guide. Having played a decent amount of the game, we’ve discovered what we think are the finest hints, tips and tricks that are going to kickstart your make-up career.

New and old players alike are hopefully going to find something in these strategies that’s going to make their time with Makeup Artist: Makeup Games even more enjoyable. With that in mind, here are what we think are the best hints, tips and cheats for Makeup Artist: Makeup Games.

Watch the lines

When you’re applying make-up, look for the lines to show you where you’re supposed to be painting. You don’t have to be super precise, but the lines give you an idea of the rough area you’re supposed to be working in.

Pause your trim

If you’re not sure which parts of the eyebrow you should be shaving, pause for a moment. The hairs you need to get rid of will start to flash and you’ll get a better idea of where you need to be cutting to get the perfect shape.

Play the bonus levels

There are a variety of different bonus levels and it’s worth taking them all on. These are the times when you can be the most creative, and they’re often the most entertaining as well. When you get a chance to play a bonus level, you should always take it.

Move on when the option’s there

When the button appears on the right of the screen to move on to the next part of the makeover, you should tap it. More often than not the game will fill in any remaining make-up that you haven’t put in place, and do a better job of it than you as well.

Gems are for upgrading your shop

The gems that you collect can be spent on upgrading your store, adding more decoration and different furniture for example. These things are basically aesthetic changes, and you’re unlikely to actually notice they’ve happened. By all means spend the gems you collect, but don’t feel like you have to watch the videos to get more.
