Getting Started
Navigating the Screen
The top of the screen is where you will find the balances for your chips, emeralds, frenzy meter, experience and current level. Below this you will find your luck and the status of your cruise.
The bottom of the screen is where you will find your friends, the collect chips button, and the friend frenzy button.
When you are playing a game of slots your bottom toolbar will be different. You will find yout charms, last win, and current bet at the bottom of the screen. Below that you will find the pay table for your current game.
Terminology
Chips: Chips are used to play the slots. You can earn chips by winning at slots and also by collecting chips via the “collect chips” button at the bottom of your screen.
Emeralds: Emeralds are used to purchase additional slot machines for your casino. Emeralds are earned when you use charms. They can also be earned at ports of call.
Frenzy Meter: When you max out your frenzy meter you will activate friend frenzy. Increase the meter by winning chips and by placing friends at your machines in your casino.
Friend Frenzy: Friend frenzy allows you to earn bonus luck and significantly speed up your cruise.
Level & Experience: Earn experience by playing slots. Once you have earned enough experience you will level up and unlock new games.
Luck: Luck fuels your cruise. You earn luck every time you play a game of slots. To earn bonus luck, max out your frenzy meter and activate friend frenzy.
Charms: Charms will give you an advantage at the slots. Charms can be earned at ports of call and/or purchased using Facebook credits.
Slots: You will be playing numerous games of slots in Lucky Cruise. Spin the reels and see if you can get them to line up. The more lines you bet on, the better chance you have of winning, but you also stand to lose more chips if you are unsuccessful.
Bet: The number of chips you wager per line. Early on you will only be able to wager one chip per line. However, as you build duplicate machines, you will be able to increase the amount you can bet.
Lines: Get your reels to match up along these lines to win chips.
Shop: The shop is located on the casino screen. Here you can buy new machines and remove machines that you no longer have use for.
Your Casino
You can track the progress of your current cruise at the top of your screen. Here you will see how much luck you have accrued as well as how much more you need to reach the next port of call.
Next, you will want to go to the casino screen and click on the shop to purchase a slot machine.
Place the slot machine in one of the available spots.
If there are any passengers loitering in the casino, click on them and place them at a machine.
They will play for a while. When they are finished, there will be an icon of a person above their head. Click on them to collect a frenzy meter bonus.
Friend Frenzy
Friend Frenzy is a great way to earn luck so that you can reach your next port of call quickly.
To increase your frenzy meter, you will need to play slots as well as make sure your passengers are playing games.
Once your frenzy meter is full, the friend frenzy button located at the bottom of your screen (in the casino) will be active.
Click on the friend frenzy button to begin.
You will notice that all your machines are now empty and there are several passengers standing around in the casino.
Hover your mouse over a passenger to see what slot machine they prefer.
Click on the passenger and then place them at the machine they prefer. You can place them at a different machine, but you won’t earn as much luck.
Place a passenger at each machine. They will play for a certain amount of time. If you still have time left in your friend frenzy when they leave, click on another passenger and place them at the machine.
Each frenzy will present you with a goal amount of luck to collect as well as a certain amount of time to collect it in. As long as you have enough machines and place your passengers quickly, you should have no problem reaching this goal.
You can continue to collect luck after you’ve reached your goal until you run out of time.
Using the friend frenzy is a great way to quickly reach the next port of call and completing your cruises faster.
Playing Slots
In addition to everything mentioned above, you will also need to play slots to earn luck and increase your frenzy meter.
To begin a game of slots, click on the machine you wish to play. It doesn’t matter if you’ve already placed a passenger at the machine, you will still be able to play it.
This will open the slots window.
At the bottom of the screen you will be able to place your bet. You can also choose the number of lines you wish to bet on.
The more lines you bet on the higher your chances are of winning, however you also increase the number of chips you stand to lose.
Early in the game you will only be able to bet one chip per line (on a 20 line machine, that will be 20 chips per spin). By purchasing duplicate machines you’ll increase the amount you can bet, but only on the duplicate machine. The initial machine will still only allow a single chip per line.
Once you’ve selected your betting amount, click the spin button.
The reels will spin and hopefully you will win some chips.
After you’ve spun the reels, you can choose to use a charm to earn emeralds.
There are several charm types that you can use. They are as follows:
Lock a Reel: Lock one reel in place and respin the rest.
Lock 2 Reels: Lock two reels in place and respin the rest.
Nudge a Reel: Nudge one reel up or down one space.
Nudge 2 Reels: Nudge two reels up or down one space.
Respin a Reel: Select one reel to respin.
You can only use one charm per turn, so you will not be able to stack them.
Charms are earned at ports of call, by playing the tile mini-game.
You can also purchase tiles using Facebook credits.
Ports of Call
When you reach a port of call, you will get the chance to play a mini-game in which you can earn bonus chips, emeralds, and charms.
There will be numerous tiles to uncover and you can click on any of them to reveal a reward.
You can uncover tiles until you choose to cash out or you uncover a skull.
If you uncover a skull, you will lose half of your earned rewards and your turn will end.
Once you have cashed out or clicked on a skull, your cruise will continue on its way to the next port.
If this was the final port, you will be taken back to the cruise map to select your next cruise destination.
