I was also confused about the Love and Deepspace Protocore feature at first. But, after some experimenting, I’ve figured it out!

Love and Deepspace is a first-person Otome game that features lifelike 3D graphics, allowing for a fun and realistic dating sim experience. While you can go on sickeningly cute dates, it’s not all fun and games. You’re all destined to fight against dangerous aliens that threaten the peace of humanity – it is a sci-fi ARPG, after all! Still, it’s the time between each battle that grants you the opportunity to get to know each of them more and more.

Love and Deepspace Protocore Guide

It’s time to learn more about what exactly Protocores are in Love and Deepspace!

What are Protocores?

Well, lore-wise, they’re from the inside of Wanderers. However, after taking them from a Wanderer, they’re given to Hunters to improve their abilities. There are a total of 6 Stellactrums, which Protocores need to match with to reach their full potential. Additionally, Protocores have Primary and Secondary abilities, both of which you can upgrade.

If you want to equip a certain Memory with a Protocore, you have to make sure it matches the Stellactrum (shown by the colour).

How to Level Up Protocores

To level up your Protocores, you need to use Core Energy and other Protocores. These items will only upgrade the Primary ability though! The Secondary ability gets a boost for every 3 levels.

It’s important to note that these Secondary abilities are also randomly generated, and each Protocore is limited to 4 different Secondary abilities. If you obtain Protocores that you don’t want or need, you can ‘decompose’ them. This turns them into Core Energy, which you can then use to increase the level of your other Protocores!

How to Obtain Protocores

Now, let’s cover how you can get more Protocores for your Memories. Tap on the Battle button on the main screen and head to the Core Hunt screen – you unlock this feature by progressing through the game.

Right now, there are 3 different Core Hunts to participate in. Each Core Hunt takes place on different days, but all 3 are available on Sundays. You can obtain Protocores from all 4 classes and all rarities when completing these hunts.
