Even I got confused about Love and Deepspace Memories, but after some experimentation during battles, I think I’ve worked it out! So, I cooked up this guide for my fellow Otome game enjoyers.

Love and Deepspace is a first-person Otome game that features lifelike 3D graphics, allowing for a fun and realistic dating sim experience. While you can go on sickeningly cute dates, it’s not all fun and games. You’re all destined to fight against dangerous aliens that threaten the peace of humanity – it is a sci-fi ARPG, after all! Still, it’s the time between each battle that grants you the opportunity to get to know each of them more and more.

For more information about Love and Deepspace, you can visit the game’s official website. Don’t forget to take a look at our Love and Deepspace Codes guide, our Love and Deepspace tier list that ranks all Memories, and our Love and Deepspace Voice Actors guide!

Love and Deepspace Memories

The bread and butter of the game (almost)!

What Are Memory Cards?

Memory Cards are the core of combat. Plus, some of them give you cute cutscenes with your favourite characters. Because of this, the 5-star cards are highly sought after due to the interactions that come with them – and their strength in battle! However, it’s not all about the rarity of a card, as you need to pay attention to whether a card is Solar or Lunar and the card’s Stellactrum.

Firstly, you need to make sure the Protofield Stellactrum and the Memory Stellactrum match up – this is the little coloured orb that is displayed before a battle and on the Memory Cards!

Before a fight, make sure to check if you have any Memories that you can pair up. Keep in mind that you can only do this with Solar cards though, and they need to be cards of the same character and Stellactrum.

Stellactrums

If the Protofield and Memory Stellactrums match, the Resonance Skills in your party are able to break 2 enemy shields in one hit. Additional Stellactrum matches give your overall Damage and Damage Reduction a nice boost too!

Upgrading Memories

image for our love and deepspace memories guide of a screenshot from rafayel's trailer as he sits on a high stool while painting on an extremely large canvas against the wall, he is holding a paintbrush and paint pallette while surrounded by plants, a statue of a woman, and floor to ceiling windows with french doors that open out to the beach with a view of the sea

The only way to level up a Memory Card is to use Bottles of Wishes. You receive these as a reward for completing certain tasks throughout the game! For every 10 levels, you’ll need to ‘Ascend’ the card using crystals – which you can obtain by completing Bounty Hunts.

Once you’ve levelled a Memory Card up to the level cap, you are then able to ‘Awaken’ the memory with Crystals and Awakening Hearts. This increases the card’s overall stats, making it incredibly useful during combat.

Solar and Lunar Slots

Now, onto the Solar and Lunar slots! You can only use 2 Memories in Solar and 4 Memories in Lunar. You’ll need to reach Hunter Level 40 to unlock all 4 slots for Lunar though! Depending on the Memories you place in the slots, a companion is recommended to you. So, if you mainly use cards of Rafayel, which means he’s your companion for that battle).
