Love and Deepspace is a first-person Otome game that features lifelike 3D graphics, allowing for a fun and realistic dating sim experience. While you can go on sickeningly cute dates, it’s not all fun and games. You’re all destined to fight against dangerous aliens that threaten the peace of humanity – it is a sci-fi ARPG, after all! Still, it’s the time between each battle that grants you the opportunity to get to know each of them more and more.

Whether you haven’t unlocked the Claw Machine feature yet or you spotted it in the game’s promotional videos, you can find the answer to all your questions in this guide. So, what is the Claw Machine exactly and how do you access it?
Not only is it a way to spend extra time with your favourite characters, but you can also get some pretty cool rewards from it. You can choose from the Standard, Balance, Fun Wheel, and Dynamic modes – all of which are unlocked as you progress further into the game. The aim of the game is to win a plushie from the claw machine, and either one of you can play it! If you watch him use the claw machine, you can tap his shoulder to cheer him on while filling up the heart bar.
If you decide to take over and have a go at the claw machine, you can use the joystick and buttons to control it – the prongs also act like the weak ones in real-life claw machines too, so good luck. You have a few attempts to use up, so don’t fret if you don’t manage to get a plushie straight away.
You also only have 3 chances to play the claw machine per week, with the plushies changing with the weekly reset. If you’re an avid collector, you’ll have a great time trying to collect them all – especially as you can place them on the desk on the ‘With Him’ page.
Other than the plushies, can you get other rewards? Yes! Taking part in the weekly Claw Machine minigame gives you a special in-game currency called ‘Chocolate’. You can purchase a variety of items with Chocolate, such as outfits, accessories, poses, and more. Plus, playing with your chosen character will also increase your companionship level – it’s a win-win!
When you’re on the main screen, tap the ‘Dating’ button and then ‘Playtime’ (if you have it unlocked!). You’ll unlock it as you progress through the start of the game, so don’t worry. Next, you need to select which character you want to spend time with. Once you’ve done that, you can tap the ‘Claw Machine’! There’s also the Kitty Cards minigame but that’s for another time.
