Long Neck Run is one of those games that tells you exactly what you can expect from it with its title. It’s a running game where you have to make your neck as long as possible by picking up rings. It’s weird, and while it’s simple for the most part, you’ll need to have your wits about you if you want to get the best scores.
Having your wits about you can be tough, though, so we thought it was a good idea to write a guide for the game to help you out. Follow these strategies and your neck will soon be stretching longer than the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro.
If this is your first time stretching your neck, or even if you’ve already pulled it out a few times, you’re going to find something here to really help you out. These are the best hints, tips and cheats for Long Neck Run.
Get the right rings
You should only pick up the rings that match your color. Pick up any other rings, and you’re going to lose some of your neck length, which is exactly the opposite of what you’re trying to do here. Always know what hue you’re aiming for, and react accordingly when you pass through a color change gate.
Always look ahead
Keep one eye on the road ahead of you. What’s coming up? What obstacles are blocking the next steps of your path? Which of those color gates is going to be the most advantageous? Don’t just focus on getting past the current problem, make sure you know how to tackle the next one as well.
What are the gems for?
You can spend the gems on new costumes for your runner. You’ll find them in the shop at the start of every level. They’re purely cosmetic and don’t change the way the game plays at all. You’ll gradually earn enough gems to get them all, so it’s probably not worth your while watching the videos to increase your haul.
Watch out for the swinging poles
The swinging poles are probably the most difficult obstacles in the game. You need to watch how they’re moving and then pick a path through them that’s going to cause you the least amount of damage. Be wary of gems and rings placed near the poles – they could be a trap to entice you into danger.
Be careful when the fever ends
When your fever ends, the game quickly reverts to your last color. That means if you’re in the midst of some rings, you could take a hit by simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even when you’re in fever, try and make sure you’re only walking through the correct colored rings – the rest of them will fly to you anyway.
