Hothead Games’ Kill Shot is an intense first person shooter, and it’s free on iOS. You may think you know your way around a sniper rifle, but even the most seasoned veteran can use a tip or two. Use these tricks to transform yourself from a twitchy rookie to a legend who never misses. Gamezebo’s Kill Shot Tips, Cheats and Strategies will help you to play your best game.

Time your kills

Everyone knows that the headshot is the way to go, but don’t underestimate the power of the multi-kill! Time your enemies movements, wait for some of them to line up, and blow a hole through all of ’em like that one part in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Pair these up with headshots, and you’ll be the combo king in no time.

Tag ’em

The game doesn’t tell you this, but if you hold your crosshairs over an enemy, a meter that says “tagging enemy” will pop up. Let it fill, and you’ll have marked your target with a big ‘ol symbol. Once you’ve unlocked the thermal scope, use it sparingly, tagging a few enemies at a time and then using the symbols to track them down once the scope is off. This does the double service of saving you energy and making you look totally awesome.

Upgrade

This one may seem like a no-brainer, but it’s easy to forget. Upgrade your sniper rifle as much as you can. The money you spend is going to come right back to you once you break out your souped up sniper rifle and start mowing down everything that tries to take you out. Don’t worry as much about the other guns, because they’re only used in the support missions. Upgrade them to the necessary levels for advancement, but keep your sniper rifle at the forefront. Your score counter will thank you.

Look before you shoot

You’ve typically got a grace period of about half a minute before your enemies see you. Use it to scour your surroundings, and note that some baddies may try to escape off-screen once bullets start flying. Keep your eyes open for opportunities and risks, and you’ll be all the better prepared when you start pulling the trigger.

Walk the line with your power-ups

If things are looking dire, a well-timed powerup can turn the tide of battle. However, after you run out of your freebies, you have to start buying them, so don’t be too quick to lean on them. Another thing to keep in mind is that you will sometimes be granted free powerups when you level up, so if you’re near the limit and cash is tight, try and hold on a little longer, and you may just luck out.
