Keyboard Art is a game about taking apart and decorating your keyboard. Luckily it’s a digital keyboard, because if you were doing any of this to a real keyboard it’d be essentially useless. It’s a pretty simple idea, but there are some things you’re going to have to understand if you want to get the most out of the experience.

And that’s why we’ve written this guide. It’s made up of the expert strategies we’ve discovered during our time playing the game, and now we’re sharing them with you. These suggestions will help you take your keyboard art to the next level.

Just pulling out your first key? Already painted a bunch of them? It doesn’t matter where you are in your Keyboard Art journey, these hints, tips and cheats are going to make sure you’re making the most out of your time with the game.

You don’t have to watch the videos

When you unlock a new tool, the game will tell you that you need to watch a video to use it. That isn’t the case. Skip the video and you’ll find the tool is available in the next level. It’s a technique a lot of games use to make you watch ads, so try skipping them and seeing what happens.

Look at the picture

Check the picture of the key you’re supposed to be making. It’ll tell you which colors you need to pick, what decal you need to use and loads more. You’ll get a better score the more accurately you represent the image, so try and make sure you’re making all of the right choices.

Use the spin

Make sure you use the spin when you’re cleaning and painting the keys instead of working against it. You should hold your tool reasonably steady and let the spin do most of the work, only moving to capture any annoying little bits that you might have missed.

Press until the game moves on

Keep your finger pushed down until the game tells you it’s time to move on. Often this will just happen automatically, but sometimes you’ll have to tap on a green button with a tick on it. If you’re happy with the work you’ve done, hit the button and you can move on to the next section.

Play the special levels

The special levels let you show off some of your own creativity, so it’s well worth playing them. You’ll also get extra rewards, which you can spend on new decals to spice up your keys. Instead of watching videos to increase your haul, play the bonus levels and have some fun while you’re doing it.
