Today is the KartRider: Drift release date, which has caused much celebration in the the kart racing community. We don’t even know if that exists, but if it does we presume it’s pretty happy. Anyway, what isn’t quite so delightful is that it hasn’t actually launched on all platforms at launch, with the PlayStation and Xbox versions not making an appearance. That’s disappointing the community of kart racers on those specific platforms.

We are here to save the day though, as, in this very guide, we’re going to tell you when KartRider: Drift will launch on PS5 and Xbox. Before we do that though, here’s what KartRider: Drift is: it’s a kart racer that’s very similar to Mario Kart. You race as a variety of characters in fully-customisable karts, and in a bunch of game modes. Item is very much your classic MK mode, but speed takes all of the items away in exchange for just going as fast you.

If you’d like to learn more, you can check out the official site. If you’re just getting started, we’ve got a bunch of guides prepared for you. Check out our KartRider: Drift codes, KartRider: Drift tier list, KartRider: Drift characters, KartRider: Drift items, KartRider: Drift karts, and KartRider: Drift tracks, and KartRider: Drift cross play.

KartRider: Drift Release Date

Now, we’ll go through the specific KartRider: Drift release dates per platform.

Mobile – iOS/Android

KartRider: Drift launched on mobile, across iOS and Android, on January 12. That means you can play it right now if you own one of those platforms. We’ve even included links at the top of this page.

PC

The PC version arrived alongside the iOS and Android versions on launch day, January 12. You can even play with your friends no matter the platform you selected.

Console PlayStation 5 / Xbox

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions of the game doesn’t have an official release date just yet, however, we do have an idea of when it will arrive.

We did some scouting on the social media platforms, and we did find that Nexon had replied to a fan who asked when it would arrive on consoles. Here’s the tweet.

For those that don’t like clicking on things, the tweet confirms that the console release will arrive alongside season one. So when might that be?

Well, KartRider: Drift is currently in preseason, which is kind of a beta release of the game. Preseason officially ends in just over 48 days, which is right at the beginning of March.

That means that, provided there is no gap between preseason ending and season one beginning, the console version of KartRider: Drift should launch around March 1.
