Here you’ll find details on all of the items.

Single And Team Play Items

These can be used in all kinds of play within Item Mode.

Banana

• Leaves a banana peel that will cause the player to slip.

Barricade

• Drops a barricade in front of the player in first place.

EMP Wave

• Wipes out UFOs on the track.

Magnet

• Pulls another kart toward you.

Missile

• Fires a missile at another player.

Nitrous

• Gives you a speed boost.

Shield

• Conjures a shield around you that will repel other effects.

Thunderbolt

• Strikes every kart in front of you with a thunderbolt.

UFO

• A UFO hovers over the kart in first place, cutting its speed with its tractor beam.

Water Bomb

• Causes an explosion on the track that traps any karts caught in it in bubbles.

Water Wisp

• A smaller version of the Water Wisp that catches one player in a bubble.

Team-Only Items

These items can only be used as part of a team or duo round.

Angel Shield

• Similar to Shield, but covers your whole team.

Lock

• Prevents the opposing team using items.

What Are Items?

Items are pick-ups that appear in KartRider: Drift’s Item Mode. They can be picked up by driving into blue item boxes that spawn on the track. On hitting a box they are randomly assigned, so you won’t know what you’re going to get until you hit the box. The items can be used to give you the edge, either by giving your kart a boost, or by sabotaging the others.

KartRider: Drift is a free-to-play multi-platform kart racer game. It’s a cartoony, fun adventure where you can choose between several modes depending on your preference.
