What’s it like to play as one of the Ink Game Playable Guards? Instead of being a participant, you can join the side of the enemy. If you’re new to Ink Game, check out our How to Win Ink Game walkthrough, which covers how to win the game as a participant.

Ink Game Playable Guards

It’s official, guards are playable in Ink Game. Well, not yet, but when the next major update on August 23rd rolls around, they are! Luckily, we know a bit of information regarding what playing as a guard is like in each game round.

How to Play as a Guard in Ink Game

When you first sign up to play in the next round in Ink Game, you can enroll for a Guard position. A box appears at the top of the screen with a cross button and a tick button. A timer counts down whilst you make your decision.

Now, to actually play as a Guard, you need to pay either 325 million Won or 245 Robux. Keep in mind that this payment only unlocks the Playable Guard role once. If you want the Playable Guard role to be a permanent option, you must pay 799 Robux.

After unlocking the Guard role (circle mask), you are automatically set as a Worker. However, with 2.5 billion Won or 999 Robux, you can also unlock the Soldier role (triangle mask). The third option (square mask) is unlocked once your account reaches level 30 or by purchasing with in-game Won.

What Do Playable Guards Do?

In some games, guards have much more of a role, whereas in others, they’re not really needed. For example, Playable Guards feature in Red Light Green Light, Dalgona, Lights Out, and the Rebel Ending battle.

During the Rebel Ending, your main task is to protect the Frontman and defeat players by using weapons. There are 12 guns that Playable Guards can use, with 10 attachments to equip, allowing you to customise them.

Between each game, and during those that Playable Guards cannot participate in, there are mini-games to play as you wait. These mini-games grant you a chance of earning Won!

What do Playable Guards have to do?

Dalgona

Keep an eye out for any players who end up cracking their Dalgona. If they do, you can shoot them, and you get Won in return.

Red Light Green Light

Use a sniper rifle with a scope to aim at players who are moving after the Red Light appears. It takes 3 shots to defeat a player!

Rebel Ending

Defeat players in an all-out battle with guns. You and your fellow Guards must protect the Frontman, and luckily, you have access to 5 free Revives.

Light’s Out

When the Light’s Out game ends, it’s up to you to stop the battle. If any players carry on fighting, you can do what you must.
