Idle Food Truck Tycoon is a brand new swipey management simulator that challenges you to make a bunch of money from the latest food sensation: food trucks. You’ll build a wide variety of food trucks that sell delicacies like sushi, pizza, roasts, kebabs, and more.

In this guide, we’re going to help introduce you to this brand new experience. We’ll help get your food truck empire off the ground and, more importantly, give you tips and tricks on how to make more money. After all, what’s an empire without lots of money?

Idle Food Truck Tycoon – How it Works:

Idle Food Truck Tycoon is a pretty standard idle game. You’ll swipe across any food trucks you’ve purchased to collect their profits, then spend your cash on a variety of upgrades. These allow you to speed up production, automate cash collection, and increase your profits – amongst many more.

You can speed up your earnings further by watching ads to boost your income or put on temporary events that bring in a lot more customers. Your overall goal is to build as many food trucks as it takes to “cash in”, which allows you to reset your progress completely in exchange for a huge boost in future earnings.

You can also participate in events, which involve setting up food trucks in various different cities across the world. The basic premise of these events is exactly the same but the rewards are different, and both sets of food trucks exist alongside each other. It’s a nice little alternative when you’ve accomplished all you can with one set of food trucks.

When you’re ready to cash in, simply tap on the office building and hit the appropriate button. This triggers a mini-game that challenges you to collect as many dollars as possible as they float from the top to the bottom of the screen. To collect a dollar, simply swipe on it.

Each dollar you collect gives you a 2% bonus in profits, which will drastically speed up your future earnings. So really, you want to cash in as soon as you’re able. Typically, this requires you to unlock a certain number of food trucks but occasionally you can cash in early by watching an advert.

Idle Food Truck Tips and Tricks:

Now that you understand the basics, let’s look at a few specific tips and tricks to help you earn as much as possible:

  • Prioritise your spending: No matter how far you are into the game, you’re always prioritising what needs your money most on the fly. Generally, we found that new food trucks are the most lucrative, followed by production upgrades (particularly automation), and then power upgrades.
  • Ensure your double profit booster is on at all times: You can tap on the bus to watch an advert and extend your profits by four hours. You can then watch even more adverts to extend this time up to a day maximum. We recommend keeping this active at all times as it will seriously speed up your progress.
  • When you’re short of things to do, hire a band: Can’t afford any interesting upgrades or a new food truck? Hire a band. It might seem like a strange reaction but the band will boost your profit by 20 for 20 seconds, giving you a huge chunk of cash. It’s well worth doing when you’re short on stuff to do.
  • Cash in as often as possible: The first thing you should do whenever you start a new game is to tap on the office and check what you need to do to cash in. Typically, this involves buying a certain number of food trucks but you’ll occasionally be able to cash in early. Whatever the method, cash in as often as possible. You’ll earn dollars from cashing in, which give you a serious boost in profitability. Not only that, but you can spend cash on even more upgrades!
  • Complete achievements and spend gems on the profit multiplier: Complete achievements and you can earn gems, which you can spend on cash, to speed up time, or on the profit multiplayer. We strongly advise you to save all of your gems for the profit multiplier, as you’ll get way more bang for your buck from that in the long term.
