Drifting will increase your speed multiplier whenever you’re doing it, but if you do it continuously in the dark grey sections you’ll up your speed even more. Whenever you see a dark grey section, aim to drift all the way through it.
Sometimes you can jump off the edge of the track and land on another stretch farther along the raceway. Look for opportunities to do this whenever you can. Sometimes you’ll miscalculate and fall to your death, but for the most part you’ll find yourself getting to the finish line much quicker.
You don’t need to be swiping madly to get around the corners. Use small movements to change your direction and then carry on that momentum to start drifting. The more control you have over your car, the better you’re going to do, so make sure you’re not throwing the race away with unnecessary sharp turns.
You can use your opponents to make sure you’re not in danger of falling off the track. Drift into the side of another car, then hold your position as you go round the corner. You can even nudge the other drivers off the track to give yourself an even better chance of finishing first.
You can spend the coins in the shop at the start of every race. They’ll unlock different skins for your car. You’ll earn cooler skins just by playing, though, so unless you’re really desperate to get everything we wouldn’t suggest watching the videos to increase your coin haul at the end of levels.
