After putting some time into the game, we think we’re well placed to make sure that your career as an arrow-blasting ranger is going to go as swimmingly as possible. There are plenty of tricks here that are going to help beginners and archery masters alike, because that’s the sort of service we offer here at Gamezebo.

Got your own hints, tips and tricks to share for Hunter: Master of Arrows, then make sure you tell us all about them in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Before we get there though, here’s how to get the most out of your Hunter: Master of Arrows experience.

Know What’s What in The Combat System

The first thing to get to grips with in Hunter: Master of Arrows is the combat system. It’s not the most complex, but it can throw you if you don’t know what’s what. For one thing, when you’re moving you won’t be firing your main weapon. You have to stop to start blasting.

It’s important to make sure there’s some distance between you and the bad guys you’re firing at. There’s a rhythm here that’s pretty similar to classic FPS games – move around, dodge attacks, and when you’re as safe as possible stop and shoot.

Use The Scenery

The scenery in the game doesn’t just get in your way, it gets in the way of a lot of the enemies you need to take down as well. Hiding behind a block to avoid a volley of fire is a great way of making sure you’re protecting your hit points.

As you progress you’ll come up against enemies who can fire through blocks, and others that can use them to ricochet shots. Hiding isn’t always your best bet, but knowing when to dive for cover can keep you alive through some tricky moments.

Know Your Upgrades

While you play you’ll level up. When you level up you’ll be able to choose a new skill to add to your repertoire. Knowing what these do, and how they can reflect your play style, is going to make pushing through the levels even easier.

Don’t just focus on offensive upgrades either. It’s all well and good being a stone cold killer, but if you’re taking too much damage you’re going to die anyway. Finding the right balance every time you play isn’t always easy because of the random way the upgrades are delivered, but getting to know them is still really important.

Spend, Spend, Spend

When you come to the end of a run, it’s important to spend as much as you can to power-up for the next one. You’ll pick up equipment that will strengthen your character, and there are a number of ways you can make it even stronger.

Scrolls let you upgrade specific items, but you’ll need to spend gold to use them. Think carefully before you use them though, because they’re not the easiest thing to come by. Gold on the other hand is plentiful, especially if you watch all the video ads offered in play to get more.

Then there’s fusion, which lets you blend together three of the same item to make an even more powerful one. The game will let you know when you’ve got new equipment, new scrolls and new fusion opportunities, so check your inventory regularly.

Perks of The Job

Perks become available every time you hit an even level. They’re random boosts that make your character tougher. Make sure to spend your cash on them whenever they can, because they’re going to make you much tougher.

It’s a bit annoying that you can’t choose which ones you get, but it’s still well worth throwing money into them all the same. Especially since you’re going to find your pockets flush with coins from all the work you’re putting in.
