Idol Showdown is a fan-made Hololive game! The fighting game features a variety of characters from the Hololive company, allowing you to play as your favourite VTubers. Flashy animations and gorgeous pixel art accompany you as you unleash powerful combos against your enemies – can you rise to the top?

So, if you’ve started Idol Showdown, you’ll know that there are some characters that are still locked. You can’t unlock these characters just yet, but the developers hinted towards this in the game’s official trailer on Twitter.
As there’s no way to unlock these characters at the moment, you’ll have to wait for further updates for the game! It looks like this additional content is still under development, but more information will be released in due time.
However, you can unlock special colour variants for your characters! Think of them as new outfits/skins.
To unlock the different variants, you need to work through a range of tasks in the game. It’s important to remember that you must complete these tasks using the selected character – this means you’ll have to grind out the game to obtain each variant for every character!
