Palworld is an open-world Survival game take on the monster-collection genre. In it, you’ll catch Pals and use them to develop an industrialised base, manning factory lines that will eventually yield powerful automatic weapons later on. There are two main ways to get your hands on High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld. Interestingly, neither involves mining for it. These methods are as follows:
When defeating or capturing Pals in the game’s open world, you’ll often receive item drops as nice additional rewards. High Quality Pal Oil can be dropped by a range of Pals in the game, including:
Of the above, Digtoise and Dumud are likely your best options, as they can both be found reliably, and in large numbers, in the desert area north-east of the Investigator’s Fork fast travel point.
While less reliable, you can also purchase High Quality Pal Oil from one of the many Wandering Merchants you’ll encounter in Palworld. The items these enigmatic traders sell can vary, but we’ve found that the Wandering Merchant in the Desiccated Desert’s Duneshelter often stocks the Oil. And at a very reasonable 300 Gold per pot, too.
Once you’ve got some High Quality Pal Oil, just what can you do with it? The primary use for the item is as a crafting material for Polymer, a high-level material used in the creation of many useful electrical appliances.
After unlocking Polymer by reaching level 33 on the tech tree, you can craft it for two High Quality Pal Oil per piece of Polymer. You’ll need a lot of Polymer later on in the game, which means you’ll need a lot of High Quality Pal Oil, but now you know exactly how to get it.
