How to Get Haki in Second Piece

Obtaining a Haki in Second Piece is crucial to your character build. Not only do you get to unleash huge amounts of damage, but the animations that come with them are pretty neat. How do you obtain a Haki though? Well, it all comes down to RNG.

Ken Haki

Take the Ken Haki for example. You can obtain the book by purchasing it from the Travelling Merchant! Keep an eye on the in-game chat, as there’ll be an announcement that reads along the lines of “A travelling merchant has arrived at (location)”. When you spot this, get on a boat to sail to the location. Once you get there, look for the Travelling Merchant NPC and browse his wares. I’d like to note that these books can also be found in chests!

Keep in mind that the Travelling Merchant NPC spawns every server hour. Luckily, you can server hop to find the Travelling Merchant, so you don’t have to wait around in a singular server for an entire hour. He’s easy to spot, with a glowing green circle around his feet and a neon green dollar sign floating above his head.

This next bit is a little frustrating though, as the items he offers up are random. If you manage to interact with him while he’s visiting, there might not be a Haki book in his inventory. Be warned, that you may have to repeat this process a few times. You also need to make sure you have the correct items and a sufficient amount of Gems – I’ll add the requirements down below as an example!

Ken Haki Book Requirements
  • 1 Lightning Orb
  • 1 Infinity Orb
  • 3.5K Gems

Buso Haki

Similarly to the Ken Haki, you can purchase the Buso Haki Book from the Travelling Merchant NPC. That, or find it in a chest! Both methods require RNG, so good luck. This Haki works its magic by giving your character’s damage a nifty buff.

Recolors

You can also recolor your Haki! This item can be obtained by defeating bosses, particularly in the Level 3,250, Kashimo battle. The Haki Recolor item can also appear in chests that you find dotted around the map. But what does it do? Well, it changes the color of the power!

What is Haki?

In the One Piece universe, a Haki is a powerful ability that utilises one’s spiritual energy. It’s one of the strongest moves that you can bring to a battle, which makes it a must in a game like Second Piece. All living creatures can obtain a Haki, but not all can actually wield it.
