Not sure how to block in My Hero Ultra Rumble? Well, you can’t exactly do it. However, there are a few ways that you can sort of block oncoming damage – including selecting characters that work well with Defensive upgrades and powerful attacks.

Blocking in My Hero Ultra Rumble is a little different when compared to the blocking systems in other games. There isn’t actually a Block action, but you can block oncoming attacks from opponents by using Shield Potions – this item can restore your Guard Points! This item can be found around the map, much like Health Potions and other items. Additionally, some items provide you with a buff to your Defense stat – while this doesn’t completely block damage, it does prevent your HP bar from dropping too low when you’re being attacked.
The best way to block attacks is to attack your opponent back. Boosting your overall Attack and upgrading your abilities during a match can make it much easier to turn the tables when fighting back against your enemy. Additionally, obtaining Health Potions and HP Regen boosts will help you to survive on the battlefield if you aren’t able to block oncoming attacks from the opposite team.
As mentioned above, making sure your Defense stat is fairly strong is a sure-fire way to making sure that you take as little damage as possible. While there isn’t exactly a Tank role in My Hero Ultra Rumble, there are a few characters that can specialise in high Defense when finding certain upgrade items during a match.
Assault/Strike characters are the best characters to choose from if you’re a fan of playing defensive characters in games. There will be new characters added to the game with new seasons, so this list will be added to as and when they’re released!
