Can someone please enlighten me on why this seemingly average material is one of the hardest to grind in the game?

If you’re like me and trying to farm for True Aizen, you may want to know how I got Chrysalis Sigils in Sailor Piece. Despite seeming simple, theres a bizarre and unforgiving gimmick to this very important item. Fortunately, I’m not much of a gatekeeper, so let’s cut the yapping and get on with the guide.

How I Got Chrysalis Sigils in Sailor Piece

Chrysalis Sigils drop from the Quincy NPCs at Soul Society with a 5% drop chance. Seems simple, but if you’ve spent hours grinding and received ZERO drops, here’s why:

Chrysalis Sigils only qualify as a drop if you’ve completed all other material gathering quests. I had to complete the Anos Quest before I began getting Chrysalis Sigils drops from the Quincy NPCs.

If you’re not yet at Soul Society, make sure you complete the Hogyoku Quest.

Completing The Anos Quest

Head to Academy Island and pick up the Demonite Quest from the NPC on the coast. He will task you with finding two Demonite Cores around the island, which are located:

  • First Demonite Core
    • Facing the spawn portal on a tree branch.
  • Second Demonite Core
    • On top of the school’s tower pillar on the right side of the building.

After this, return to the NPC to complete the quest. From here, you should be able to head back to Soul Society and begin farming Chrysalis Sigils.

Using Chrysalis Sigils

Chrysalis Sigils are the backbone of Soul Society, and obtaining the True Aizen weapon, which includes:

  • Spawning the True Aizen Boss.
    • Note: The harder your difficulty setting, the more Chrysalis Sigils it costs to spawn.
  • Obtaining True Aizen
    • Transcendent Being [Title]
    • Aizen V1 [Weapon]
    • 1x Evolution Fragment
    • 3x Transcendent Core
    • 8x Divinity Essence
    • 15x Fusion Ring
    • 75x Chrysalis Sigils
    • 35,000 Gems
  • Obtaining True Aizen Mastery (F Move)
    • Note: Chrysalis Sigils don’t appear in the three questlines, but they’re necessary for spawning the True Aizen boss, which you need to defeat 15 times on Hard or Extreme difficulty.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Is True Aizen worth the grind?
    • A: In my humble opinion, this is the best Sword ever released in Sailor Piece. It’ll likely fade into obscurity after a few content updates, but for the time being, this is truly the pinnacle of the game. The moves synergise well, offer serious damage and low cooldowns, making it a spammable weapon and perfect for combos.
  • Q: Is the Demonite Core quest supposed to be mandatory?
    • A: This, I’m not so sure about. It seems accepted that this is a bug, especially since the Anos Quest and Chrysalis Sigils do not correlate, and the game doesn’t prompt you to complete the quest before qualifying for drops.
