Always make sure you’re picking up as many of the skirts as you can. In terms of the pick-ups, it doesn’t matter how long they are, just try and grab them all to add to your flight capability. Watch out for gates that can sometimes knock down the length of your skirt as well.
When you see a key, you should try and grab it. Once you’ve got three of them, you can unlock some chests and get some extra goodies. Don’t prioritize them over skirts, but if you can get them without losing out on anything else, go and do it.
Fans are a great way to get airborne, or stay airborne, without using up your skirt. They’re especially useful in the final section of the level, so if you spot one try to head towards it to get a push to get to the better scoring sections.
