When you’re in the middle of a level and you fly, you’re going to use up some of your skirt length. There are times when you have to fly, but you should try and land as soon as possible to conserve your skirt for the end of the run. The more skirt you have, the better your final score.
Always make sure you’re picking up as many of the skirts as you can. In terms of the pick-ups, it doesn’t matter how long they are, just try and grab them all to add to your flight capability. Watch out for gates that can sometimes knock down the length of your skirt as well.Â
When you see a key, you should try and grab it. Once you’ve got three of them, you can unlock some chests and get some extra goodies. Don’t prioritize them over skirts, but if you can get them without losing out on anything else, go and do it.
Fans are a great way to get airborne, or stay airborne, without using up your skirt. They’re especially useful in the final section of the level, so if you spot one try to head towards it to get a push to get to the better scoring sections.Â
It’s really a personal choice. You’re not going to fail most of the levels unless you really mess up, so the boosts are basically there to get you more gems.
