Hoop Stars is an exciting game of scoring points and bouncing around like a lunatic. It’s a lot of fun, but there are some parts of it that can get a little tricky if you’re not a hundred percent sure on what you should be doing.

Don’t just try and score, try and stop your opponent from scoring as well. If they’re getting close to the ball, try and barge them out of the way. Scoring is the most important thing in the game, but if you can stop your opponent from doing it, you’re going to put yourself in a much better position to win.
When you get close to the ball, try and score as many points as you can. Quick taps when you’ve passed over the ball can get you another point in quick succession. Try and make the most out of the chances you’ve got and you can quickly destroy your opponent.
If you tap to try and hit a point and you miss, don’t just tap in the opposite direction and try again. Instead, take a second to re-position and then try again. Don’t forget to use the walls to shift your position, and bounce off your opponent to utilize all of the angles that you can.
On some levels the ball will move as soon as anyone scores a point. Be careful on these levels, because you can often find yourself in the wrong place as soon as someone scores. Try not to chase the other player if it looks like they’re going to get a score, instead hang back and wait to see where the next ball is going to be.
You can spend them on new colors for your ring. The options are all purely cosmetic, but if you want to put your own twist on the look of the game then they’re worth picking up. Is it worth watching the videos to increase your gem haul? Probably not, since you’ll earn a lot as you play.
