Looking for a Holocure transfer save to Steam guide? Well, you’ve arrived at your destination. You’ll find 3 methods down below to help you transfer your HoloCure save data to Steam!

HoloCure is a Vampire Survivors-like bullet hell roguelike that features your favourite characters from the Hololive YouTube franchise. You have to survive for as long as you can against hordes of enemies, which, in this case, is made up of rabid fans. Much like Vampire Survivors, it features a ton of unlockable characters, secrets, weapons, and more to discover.

You can learn more on the official site. We’ve put together an extensive list of guides to help you get started. Make sure to check out our HoloCure coin farm, HoloCure collabs, HoloCure download, HoloCure items, HoloCure update, and HoloCure weapons.

Now, let’s move on to the two methods! One is a little more simple than the other but both will work.

GitHub Tool

This one is a little old, but you can download a useful GitHub tool which can be found here. The page includes step-by-step instructions on how to use the tool to transfer your save files! It’s pretty easy, as all you are required to do is import the save file to the tool. This also allows you to transfer the save data between devices.

Automatic Transfer

Some users have stated that the save data will automatically transfer over to your Steam account. However, you need to make sure that you don’t delete the game on your system before you launch the Steam version for the first time.

It’s still recommended to have a backup somewhere just in case this method doesn’t work for you! If you plan to play on the Steam Deck or you’re switching PCs, you’ll need a backup on the new device.

Directory Method

  • Open the Run app on your PC
  • Type %localappdata%\HoloCure – this will then open up the location of the file in the folder
  • Click “backup”
  • Click the device, for example “laptop”
  • Open your notepad app
  • Drag and drop the “save.dat” file
  • Highlight the text until you find the “eyAiZm9” section on the first line – end the highlight at “ey”
  • Click “copy”
  • Click the “HoloCure” folder – you’ll spot that there is a new “save.dat” file in this folder now too
  • Drag and drop the “save.dat” file that is in the HoloCure folder (not the “backup” folder)
  • Highlight up until the “ey” section on the first line again and right click to paste
