Hollowed Race Tier List

If you’re here from our general race guide, what do we actually think of them regarding usefulness?

S Tier

  • Akula
    • Positives:
      • You can bite your enemies to replenish your HP
      • When swimming in the water, you move faster, your Attack Speed increases, and you gain a Regen buff
      • Bloodlust allows you to see enemies through walls upon hitting an opponent, and dealing Slash Damage boosts your Damage output
    • Negatives:
      • The restorative powers and buffs for the Akula make this race stand out, but they could benefit from a few other buffs that don’t rely solely on water

A Tier

  • Rias
    • Positives:
      • Demon’s Wish ability buffs your Damage, Fire Damage, and Attack Speed
      • Your character cannot die from Heatstroke
      • Your character does not take damage from the Burn debuff
      • Your Mana Charging speed gets a boost, but only by a little
    • Negatives:
      • Despite the advantages when dealing Fire Damage or receiving Fire Damage, this race doesn’t have many other benefits
  • Eclipse
    • Positives:
      • You can summon a ghost to aid you in battle with the Lunar Ghost ability, though it only has a Damage stat of 50
      • Using the Sacrifice ability, Eclipse players can turn back time and replenish HP if their HP is under 90% but over 20%
      • When it’s nighttime, you gain lots of buffs
    • Negatives:
      • The Sacrifice ability, whilst having its advantages, stops you from being able to use racial abilities for 1 hour in total after usage
      • Eclipse players have 100 HP less than other races

B Tier

  • Hydra
    • Positives:
      • With Dragon Breath, you get to breathe fire in combat
      • When your HP is below 40%, your Defense gets a boost
      • You deal more Damage when using Fire spells
    • Negatives:
      • Apart from the fire-breathing ability, there’s not much else to say about this race
  • Shaile
    • Positives:
      • You save up Stacks which you can then unleash as an AoE debuff called ‘Confusion’. This increases your Defense, Attack Speed, Damage, and overall movement whilst slowing your enemies down
      • Shaile’s deal more Damage with any type of weapon
      • Consuming meat replenishes Hunger more than other races
    • Negatives:
      • Whilst the positives are impressive, I’d like to see a little more going on for the Shaile race
  • Refur
    • Positives:
      • You can see enemies, friendly NPCs, and other players through walls
      • Hunter Instinct gives you a 7% Attack Speed buff
      • Hunter Mode allows you to get back up once knocked down, replenishing 20% of your HP. You can then deal damage to recover even more HP!
    • Negatives:
      • Hunter Instinct decreases your Defense
      • Hunter Mode reduces your Speed and Damage

C Tier

  • Czary
    • Positives:
      • Myth of Magic allows you to perform 5 spells within 15 seconds
      • Scholar Bloom increases and your Mana recharges much faster
    • Negatives:
      • There isn’t much else to this race, making it quite lacklustre!

D Tier

  • Onija
    • Positives:
      • The Rage ability boosts your overall stats for a short period
      • You get a Fist damage buff
      • Your Dash matches that of the base Swordsman class
    • Negatives:
      • A pretty boring class as a whole
      • Relies on punching your enemies… and not much else
