Hollow Era Fighting Styles – Unlocking Kido and Kendo

Hollow Era Fighting Styles

Both Fighting Styles and how to unlock them!

Kido Specialist

Like the Kendo Master Fighting Style, you can level up the Skill Tree Nodes to unlock extra Kido skills for battle.

How to Unlock Kido Specialist

Speak with the Kido Master NPC to give him a Kido Scroll. To get a Kido Scroll, you must defeat the level 35+ Byakuya boss. The scroll is not a guaranteed drop!

Kido Abilities

• Goryutenmetsu
  • Summon a Reiatsu Dragon to destroy everything and everyone nearby
• Fire Blade Sacrifice
  • Grab the enemy before summoning a sword made from flames
• Heavenly Cannon
  • Summon 5 Reiatsu Rods that move forward to strike enemies
• Lighting Dragon Cannon
  • Unleash a beam of Lightning
• Kurohitsugi
  • Summon a Black Coffin which holds the enemy in place, stunning them

Kendo Master

You can only use this Fighting Style if you have a sword! All of the abilities require a sword, and if you do not have one equipped, you cannot perform the Fighting Style-exclusive moves. The Kendo Node allows you to unlock additional Kendo skills in combat.

How to Unlock Kendo Master

You must speak with the Musashi NPC (at level 50+) to give him a Kendo Scroll in the Crystal Cave. To obtain a Kendo Scroll, you need to defeat the level 25+ Kenpachi boss and win the low drop rate chance – it seems to be between 1% or lower.

Kendo Abilities

• Mercenary
  • Summon a slash that moves forward to strike enemies
• Extermination
  • Unsheath your equipped sword before slicing the target multiple times
• Bloodlust
  • Rush past the enemy, slashing them with ease without them noticing
• Wolf Counter
  • Spin the enemy and strike them with your sword a total of 3 times
