Hogwarts Legacy Wand Guide

Now, let’s move on to the guide!

How to Obtain a Wand

Firstly, you need to progress through the story a little until you can travel to Hogsmeade! From here, you can visit Ollivander’s and speak with him to find the best wand for you.

Keep in mind that the first few wands will be incorrect due to the plot – but Ollivander will suddenly find the right one for you. Next, you need to purchase the wand! Unless you want to alter the characteristics of the wand beforehand.

Additionally, you can also obtain an exclusive wand if you have a Harry Potter Fan Club and WB Games account! Link both accounts, and play through the main story until you receive your house (or choose it) from the Sorting Hat.

Can I Get a New Wand?

Fancying a change? Sadly, you can’t actually change your wand after you buy it from Ollivander. This is why it’s super important to pick the right characteristics for your wand before purchasing it.

Wand Customization

Here’s the extra fun part – customization! The cosmetics for your wand don’t have any bonus stats, but they look great. You can tailor your wand to your liking by changing the handles as you obtain them throughout the game.

However, before you purchase your wand from Ollivander, you get the opportunity to alter the wand’s wood type, flexibility, length, and style! Whichever option you choose will not hinder your progress in the game. Let’s go over some of the customization options below!
