Our top recommendation for leveling up in Hogwarts Legacy is to work through as many quests as possible! Whether you progress through the main story or pick up a bunch of side quests, they’re a quickfire way to increase your Wizarding Level.
Not only do you get some decent EXP from completing any quest, but you can also unlock extra features and spells. You can also look at your Field Guide to discover a variety of Field Guide challenges to complete for some extra EXP and rewards.
Field Guide Pages give you an impressive amount of EXP when found, so make sure you look out for them as you wander around.
This may seem obvious, but your overall level in the game will allow you to unlock a ton of new stuff. Certain gear can only be worn when your Wizarding Level corresponds to the level of the gear.
Furthermore, you can earn a Talent Point each time you level up. These points can then be spent on obtaining brand-new talents, or upgrading your pre-existing ones!
Even The Room of Requirement will unlock further rooms and features as you level your character up, allowing you to personalize your space even more.
You can find the Battle Arena Northeast of the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame. Once you reach the arena, you’ll spot 20 pots that reside by the ruins. Make sure to destroy all of them to unlock the Battle Arena!
In short, the Battle Arena is an intense 7-wave challenge. If you upgrade your character alongside increasing your Wizarding Level, it should be pretty doable! Remember to bring extra potions with you, including restorative ones for your health.
While you can search for challenges to complete, you can easily work through them as you simply progress through the game. Challenges can range from exploration, combat, quests, and more!
The Hogwarts Legacy level cap is 40! While it takes quite a while to get reach the max level, there are plenty of ways to work your way through. Hitting the max level completes an achievement called “A Forte for Achievement”, and any further EXP won’t count towards your character.
It’s important to note that the total amount of Talent Points you can earn in Hogwarts Legacy will not unlock every talent in the game – so choose wisely!
