  • Herbology
  • Potions
  • Charms
  • Defense Against the Dark Arts
  • Beasts
  • Astronomy
  • Divination

Herbology

To brew potions, you need to gather the ingredients. This is where herbology classes come in! This class will help you decipher whether or not specific ingredients are dangerous or not.

These plants can be used in your potions, so make sure you’re picking up the safe ones!

Potions

This is the class where you can learn about the art of potion brewing! Make sure to spend a decent amount of time taking part in potion classes – it’ll help you when learning more about potions in the game.

Making potions in Hogwarts Legacy is a core part of gameplay, especially when it comes to combat.

Defense Against the Dark Arts

This class is pretty vital when it comes to combat. The entire point of Defense Against the Dark Arts is to protect yourself against dangerous spells and curses.

You can also take part in exciting duels and teach yourself brand-new spells!

Charms

The charms class is pretty useful when it comes to learning new spells. If you find yourself stuck during a puzzle, a charm can come in handy!

You’ll need plenty of charms when exploring the world of Hogwarts Legacy, so make sure you take part in plenty of charms classes.

Beasts

You can learn all about the different types of beasts in this class! It’s the perfect opportunity to improve your knowledge on taking care of your own beasts too. You can rescue, and look after, a variety of beasts that you find as you explore.

Astronomy

Learn about the stars and skies in this class! The professor will teach you all about contellations too, and how it can link to your magic.

Divination

Fancy a go at predicting the future? Take part in the divination class! You even get to use the crystal ball, and practice with your visions.

Flying

It wouldn’t be a Harry Potter game without flying! This class will teach you how to improve your flying skills when using a broomstick. By completing this class for the first time, you’ll obtain a basic broomstick, and will unlock flying in the game!

Transfiguration

In this class, you can learn how to turn an object into something else! Professor Weasley teaches you all you need to know about changing forms of objects. After her assigment quest, you’ll unlock the Transformation spell!

Other Classes

You can’t exactly attend these classes like the ones listed above. So far, these classes are only seen in cutscenes!

  • History of Magic – Prof. Cuthbert Binns
  • Magical Theory – Prof. Eleazar Fig
