How to Get Your First Broom

You can’t actually visit Spintwitch’s Sporting Needs until you have your first broom – but how do you get one? There are plenty of classes in Hogwarts Legacy, but the one you need to focus on is the Flying Class!

You receive the prompt to take part in your first Flying Class once you complete the “Jackdaw’s Rest” during the main story quest line. Once you finish the Flying Class, you’ll be given your first broom – exciting!

Where to Find Spintwitch’s Sporting Needs

If you fancy a snazzy new broom, you need to head to Spintwitch’s Sporting Needs! You can buy all sorts of brooms from here, so pick whichever catches your eye. You can find Spintwitch’s Sporting Needs close by to Ollivander’s in Hogsmeade.

Keep in mind that you need plenty of Galleons if you want the more premium brooms though – the most expensive is 5000 Galleons! Take a look at the list above to find out which brooms can be bought from the shop.

Broom Upgrades

Eventually, you need to think about upgrading your broom. It may look great, but does it perform to the best of its ability?

You can obtain broom upgrades by completing side quests for the owner of Spintwitch’s Sporting Needs, Albie Weekes, as well as Imelda Reyes, a student from the Slytherin house. Most of the side quests involve time trials given by Albie Weekes in his shop. Additionally, you can find Imelda Reyes at the Quidditch Pitch for further time trial challenges.

The overall upgrades for your broom involve an increase in broom acceleration and broom speed!
