• The longer bashers stay alive, the stronger they become – Bashers are one of the handiest fighter classes in Heavenstrike Rivals. They’re plentiful and have a low mana requirement for summoning. They can also become formidable warriors if handled properly. Keep bashers alive for as long as possible, and put them up against weaker enemies. Every time they attack, they gain strength. After a couple of kills, few things can stand in their way.
• Remember to swap out weak soldiers for stronger ones as you progress – You gain new, stronger fighters as you work through Heavenstrike Rivals, so don’t forget to add them to your ranks. Once your fighters queue is all filled up, you may need to swap soldiers. Try replacing weaker soldiers with stronger ones.
• But don’t forget stronger troops require more mana to be summoned onto the battlefield – That said, it helps to have some weaklings on-hand as easily-summoned fodder. Stronger soldiers require more mana to bring forth.
• Remember to use your Captain skills – Your Captain has skills that can wind up being a huge help in battle. For example, a powerful attack spell from your Captain can wallop a high-level summon that’s mowing down your soldiers. Beware, though: Rival Captains can also use skills, and Captain skills in general require long cooldown periods.

• Choose your vanguard carefully – Your vanguard is the one soldier that is guaranteed to be in the queue at the start of each battle. Put some thought into who goes on the front lines.
• Some attacks have important secondary effects – Many fighters have skills that inflict secondary attacks or statuses. For example, a specific skill may do damage to a foe as well as paralyze them, or poison them.
• Do event missions for big rewards – New event missions are available every day. Complete them for rewards like rare fighters. Even the easy event missions tend to require a lot of endurance to complete successfully, so settle in for a long haul.
• Use enhancement tiles to your benefit, and try to guard them from enemies – Some game boards have tiles that enhance your life, attack, or other attributes when you pass over them. Use these tiles liberally, and whenever possible, try and block off enemies from using them to their advantage.

• Have more than one healer in your line-up – Put two or three healers in your line-up. That way you’re almost sure to get one even though available soldiers are doled out randomly.
• Remember: Warriors can shift lanes – Warriors can change lanes above and below, as long as nobody is occupying their space. It’s not always necessary to spend mana to summon new soldiers. Sometimes shifting position is fine.
• Magic users can attack soldiers that are adjacent to each other – Your magic-users can attack enemies that are horizontally or vertically adjacent to each other. Of course, your magic-using foes can do the same to you.
